Is there something telepathic through the ones infected could share clues to why USDI was angry? Is their civilization like this or did the infected express signs or clues to what's going on with the usdi?
That was just when T'Bonz un-permabanned my account here. Before that I had however many post here it took to be a, if I remember correctly, Fleet Captain. That was all wiped out though.According to your sidebar information, you joined this forum in 2007. 2007 + 18 = 2025.
Interesting math, unless you're posting from the future... in which case you've just violated the Temporal Prime Directive.
They're still here.I miss the old rank based lounges, they were fun
Interesting.They're still here.
For "Fairest of Them All" Ginger Holley made the Season 2 uniforms, even having to dye some of the velour herself. She tells the story of meeting someone in a parking lot at night to purchase the last bolt of this velour left in the United States, or something like that.I'm on a big uniform kick right now (Kirk's velour was green!) and I like the quality of STC's uniforms. Are those Anovos ones, or are they making their own?
It was interesting seeing Gigi Edgley w/o her Farscape makeup. I actually had to look her up because 1. She was pretty cute and I didn't know her offhand. 2. Her acting seemed a bit 'different.'
Maybe because she's a better actor than the rest? I thought she stole the show. There's a clash of styles there that makes Gigi stick out like a sore thumb.

I saw this a few days back.
While I think one of the things that holds fanfilm back is the horrible acting (the other being shaky writing). And I didn't see any horrible acting in this 'episode.' (I did have a few issues with the writing; it wasn't a horrible script, but I wanted more than the usual 'crew gets angry or hyper because of an area of space or a being story). I want to echo and say that Todd Haberkom did pretty well as 'Spock,' especially the scene where he's breaking sickbay. Like Vic Mignogna, Haberkom has a higher voice than his original counterpart (Vic's high voice threw me off even though I have seen previous episodes) but I felt, given the material, both actors did their job well.

One thing that I thought was cool was seeing the female officer get brutal with the fists, literally knocking one another out. I also like how McKenna basically wore her blemish throughout the episode where some shows usually show the character immediately healing. Yes, Trek has shown McCoy to be able to take care of something like a blemish immediately with skin...but given the tense circumstances, that wasn't able to happen.
I wasn't saying she was bad or trying to say she was on a different level of capability from the rest of the cast. I liked her performance, it's just that she played it in a different style from the rest of the cast. It's a very "modern" style of acting, while the rest of the cast remains true to 60's style of TV acting (more-or-less).
That's a very pertinent observation, if it's true that the difference of style was not fully accounted for by the story. I'd have to watch again (darn!) to see if I agree, but it reminds me of a YouTube review of "Pilgrim of Eternity" where the reviewers said they liked McKennah's perkiness but it was a distractingly 21st-century perkiness. I think her acting style has subtly changed since then to a more Sixties perkiness, but I'd agree that vintage acting may be tricky for actors who didn't learn that way.I wasn't saying she was bad or trying to say she was on a different level of capability from the rest of the cast. I thought she was deliberately acting differently from the rest of the cast because she was picking up on Usdi's telepathic projections of fear, whereas everyone else was picking up on the father's telepathic projections of anger. She's the odd one out, and her style pointed that up.
On my forst viewing I didn't make the connection of her channeling Usdi's fear. When someone pointed it out in this thread I went back and rewatched it with a different perspective allowing me to assess her performance more knowingly.I've seen a couple people bring this idea up before, and I wish that the script had made this more obvious, if it was the intention. It would better explain her interpretation of the character.
Actually I think that was me! And now here I am questioning it!On my forst viewing I didn't make the connection of her channeling Usdi's fear. When someone pointed it out in this thread I went back and rewatched it with a different perspective allowing me to assess her performance more knowingly.
I agree that what was happening and affecting her behaviour could have been made more clear with a few words.
Actually I believe it was you.Actually I think that was me! And now here I am questioning it!![]()
Any actresses from the 1960's you can reference that particular perkiness? I honestly didn't know there was a certain era-type-of-perkiness??? McKennah is simply perky....it reminds me of a YouTube review of "Pilgrim of Eternity" where the reviewers said they liked McKennah's perkiness but it was a distractingly 21st-century perkiness.
