Well folks the news I've been waiting for is finally here. The Ultimate Cut of BVS is coming out on home media on 19th July (in the states, I'm guessing it'll be the day before for us in the UK as new releases come out on Monday's here) and the digital download version on 28th of this month. I have to say having seen the trailer I'm really pumped for this. The next six weeks can't go fast enough for me.

I also have been asking for a good Aquaman movie. He's a badass.
The only ones of those I saw in theaters were Wreck it Ralph, Tomorrowland, and The Good Dinosaur. Of the three, Tomorrowland was the only one I didn't like. I saw and enjoyed Prince of Persia, Into the Woods (just watched it in Blu-Ray for the first time Monday) The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Tron Legacy later on DVD/Blu-Ray or streaming.
Now people can get a different perspective before Suicide Squad.
There was a (former?) poster on here who was always posting "[Insert title here] = FLOP" threads.
It was just a dream the Flash talked to Batman about Superman? Right? If not, can the Flash tap into a person's dreams??? Is that part of the Flash's superpowers??? Or will the Ultimate gimmick explain this?
As I recall when Bruce woke up there were still papers from his desk flittering about so it would appear that it actually wasn't a dream, it seemed that Bruce might have just lost consciousness momentarily possibly caused by the encounter.
He can cross dimensional barriers, time travel, join with the speed force and whatnot so something like this isn't a stretch.
Going by the preview, it still makes no damn sense. After 18 months of him being Superman, presumably around the world, this is the first time someone has called him out for who he didn't save? And why would a not particularly notable citizen of a foreign country be the one called to speak to the American congressional committee? Has Supes been saving every single American all this time, so that not one has asked why he didn't get around to saving one of them?
I can't even begin to imagine sitting through an even longer version of this movie.
Agreed. I fear the longer version could be even worse than what I horribly saw, especially an extended laughable score.
After watching that - yeah - it shows they COULD have had a better film with better editing choices. That said, I noticed the 'Ultimate version' had an R Rating so UNLESS that's just for marketing/sales purposes (IE Oooooo...there's an R-Rated version/cut); maybe they did want that cut originally and when the MPAA came back with a R for it they were

I noticed a bunch of yt comments saying this trailer spoils the movie as much as the previous trailers, but I think for people who haven't actually seen the movie (or read all the details online) these various glimpses give away nothing. You can't really know what happens from this trailer unless you already know what happens.

They didn't. The film was cut for time, not violence.
If they really wanted the longer cut in theaters with a PG-13 rating they could have just shaved a second of a punch here and there.
