Miranda->Nebula->??

I would have liked to have seen a Miranda class with a sensor pod instead of a weapons pod- it seemed to be a good Explorer with the two large Shuttlebays providing support.
The closest we got was the Soyuz variant (assuming all those long poky things were long range sensors).
The Soyuz wasn't the only one, Sisko's Saratoga also had sensors off the sides. But there was also a background ship with a proper sensor pod built by Adam Buckner, labeled as USS Antares (see bottom of page here & here). Didn't get to see it very well, but it was there!

Kazemiya, I just know you're going to get a spamming warning... especially for resurrecting a nearly decade old thread just to post three times in a row.

Sorry, Alex, but what do u mean by spamming? I thought i just saying opinion based on facts there, so I dont take ur meaning..
btw and sorry i dont mean to sent in 3 different post, it just my android get habit to refresh my browser after several minute or something else, it quit annoying me since i didnt finished writing yet.. so i decided to click sent, when the text suddenly slowing down, indicate it's about to refreshed again. I am not really sure how to fix it. Sorry again

Yeah the three posts in a row counts as spamming. There is an EDIT button you can click to add to your original post.

--Alex

Yep. The edit button will let you add stuff to a single post so that you won't have to make multiple ones.

Thanks, Alex, Unicorn.. i am also wondering about that "edit" button since yesterday, to correct some mispelled word i have there, but i couldn't found the button. May i know where the button is? i am only have report, +quote, and reply button under my post. Thanks again

^ Unfortunately, you have to reach a certain post count before the option to edit your posts becomes available to you. (Sorry, I don't remember what the exact number is.) But if it was available, it would be at the bottom between the posting date and the link to report the post.

About a year ago I put together a series of orthos based on this design - one of the more interesting kit bashes that sadly didn't appear too prominently. Looks like they kitbashed a pair of ERTL Excelsior model stands to make the pod. Neat idea - hope I did it justice. Adding it to the ever-growing list of ships in the Trek universe named "Antares"! :lol:

For what it's worth, there was a good fan-made design made a couple decades ago called the Endurance class Frigate from "Ships of the Starfleet - Vol. 1 Revised" (1991) by Calon Riel and Mastercom Data Center that uses a kind of sensor pod on a Miranda (they call them Avenenger) class space frame. Cool variant, IMO.

You are a "newbie". Unfortunately, newbies cannot edit their own posts. At a later point, you will be able to. I had the same problem.

You both seem to forget you need to post a certain amount and be here a certain amount of time before you can edit posts.

You are correct. Thank you. Thank you.
