First trailer for the live action movie. I can say the castle looks nice.

I'm very curious about this but I'm not sure about Emma Watson playing Belle.
Don't tell that to the rest of the internet. There's a corner that might come looking for you, your family, your pets, your soul, for posting such extreme comments. Their Queen should never be slighted so. ;)

I was really hoping the teaser would at least give us a glimpse of some of the other characters. I do like the design for the castle though.

I like the idea of Watson playing Belle. Maybe it's just because I like Watson and want to see her in more stuff, but based on this trailer, I don't really have any opinions. It was nice and brought back a lot of nostalgia from the animated film. I will say though I hope this is a twist on the material and not a retelling of the animated film, music and all. I went to see Jungle Book this weekend and that was my single most problem with the movie. I wanted a Live Action film for The Jungle Book. What I got was a live action version of the animated film.

I'm not the biggest fan of the original movie (although it's been many years since I've seen it) but I love the casting for this film. I look forward to this.

Then you'll be relieved to know Andy Serkis is directing a motion-capture film that will supposedly be closer to the novels, which will be released in 2018. I enjoyed Favreau's version, but I definitely want a version that's closer to Kupling's stories.

That's cool. I enjoyed Jungle Book, but it was sold mainly on the visuals and scenery. If we get a new version of Jungle Book, and I do like Andy Serkis, that will probably be worth watching.

They're adding 3 new songs to the score for the live-action film, so it's not going to be JUST a straight-up adaptation of the animated film in live-action. There will be differences, which is just fine with me.

I'll say this for the trailer (and all of Disney's animated to live action movies we're getting), the music has a very positive and powerful effect. With all the catchy music and our fond memories growing up with these, it really is effective at grabbing at least my attention.

Ron Perlman as the Beast or it's no sale.

Did you follow much of the marketing for The Jungle Book? I thought the marketing all made it pretty clear it was just a live action adaptation of the old animated movie.

I can't wait to see this part.

No I didn't. I actually saw the movie because it was getting good reviews for the most part.

Vincent and Catherine (1987) forever:adore:

In regards to Emma, can she sing or will her voice be dubbed?

Also, Belle has an American accent but Emma (in the teaser) is clearly using her own.

It all just makes me feel iffy.
