Please, very much, no. I don't understand why anyone would want this. The existing Arrowverse shows already have enough trouble coordinating their continuity. Trying to rewrite two universes' continuities into one would make it an even more incoherent mess than it is already.
And there's no need for it. The Flash and Vibe have the power to cross universes. And it'd be easy enough to establish that the DEO had invented something to do the same, or that some device from the Fortress of Solitude could do it, or that there was just a permanent rift between worlds created when the Flash came across. There's no need to homogenize the universes to allow for ongoing interaction.
These are all classic DC Earth 1 heroes.
They can wrap up the series by forming the Justice League, with Supergirl subbing for Superman. (after perhaps some time spent with the Legion of Super heroes, giving her some training on super hero teams).
there can be 1 episode to resolve the conflicts... most of each of the histories aren't intertwined with each other...easy to ignore / super-fans can make up rationaliations/excuses for. (Yknow, like we always do on a STAR TREK message board).
There's probably some kind of Crisis event coming given a glimpse we got on last night's episode of Flash - but no reason to assume it'll tie into Supergirl.
I don't think that even will be immediate...just whenever it seems to work out. Considering how recent the decision was to move Supergirl to the CW, a crisis event will definitely
not occur next season.. though possibly for season 4
The CW announced its fall schedule this morning. Supergirl is keeping the same time slot it had on CBS. All the other DC Superhero shows are keeping their current slots. The surprise is Legends of Tommorrow is starting this fall too. Not mid season like its 1st year.
Not sure if this have been mentioned yet but CBS will be airing reruns this summer starting with the Pilot on May 30th.
The scheduling seems like overkill.. Flash & Supergirl would be better complementary (one airs while the other is off), and Arrow + LoT.
Well...we'll see...doesn't change our viewing habits...
And CBS re-running Supergirl? Now, that seems kind of pointless... it'd make much more sense for CW to do so -- gear up people for the new season, and possible add more viewers.
Good question. I do not think we got an answer yet.
Apparently there are currently ongoing negotiations for Calista Flockhart to return for Supergirl's second season. She might not be a regular cast member and have a reoccurring role, The show is moving its production to another country. That is a really big deal. Her and Harrison Ford have a adopted son. Who is only a teenager. A move like that for most of the school year would be a major change for them

I think that makes the most sense... and if they can get stories in advance, double up on filming for Calista, so she's not away from her family for too long
Given that we already know she agreed to stay with the series, all that they're most likely talking about re: Calista is exactly how to make the move to Vancouver work for her, and there are several options available to them:
1) Downgrade her role
2) Give her a contract similar to the one given to John Glover and Erica Durance during their tenures on Smallville wherein they are listed - and paid - as Series Regulars but do not appear in every single episode of the season
Option #2 is, IMO, the best and most likely option given that Calista loves working with Greg and has spoken extremely fondly of her character and of the series.
Professionally for Calista, yeah, #2. But
financially, considering the big cuts... making her recurring (and doubling up on film time with her) makes the most sense.
Dramatically, they have set it up so she only needs to do guest appearances
