2015/16 NHL season

Tire fire doesn't begin to describe it. Once the salary cap came in, the team could no longer buy talent and make run after run and subsequent management up until the current one still tried to re-tool on the fly even though they had only made the playoffs in the last decade and a bit.

This trading deadline might go down as the fire sale of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Man are they selling hard.

A couple weeks ago I went to my first NHL game, I went to see the Ducks at the Blues in St. Louis. Decided I wanted to go before my sister and brother in law move out of St. Louis. Had a pretty good time. The game went by pretty fast and was really entertaining.

Hockey is best experienced live.

^ Congrats! :) I'm happy for you. I know how much I loved the Canucks 2011 playoff run. I'm still upset about how it ended though. :(

Yeah that was an infamous playoff run too. For me, it's watching this teams futility and having that choker label. This years sharks feel so much different than any of those years. They have the killer instinct that they've always lacked.

I honestly can't believe this is happening. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but this is the best I think I've ever seen this team look as a Sharks fan since at least 1997. The way this team plays defensively, not giving too much pressure for Jones (And how relaxed he looks), not to mention Thornton found the fountain of youth, it's unreal really. All three of those goals were beautiful tonight. I know the Blues are going to come out firing and I expect them to win at least one more game, but I've gone from somewhat convinced to very convinced. This Sharks team is amazing and no matter what happens, this is a year to be very proud of.

For the first time in Franchise history, the San Jose Sharks are going to the Stanley Cup Final. I was there to see them advance tonight. I probably won't believe it until tomorrow.

I'll be cheering for them going forward. This franchise has gone through years of being so good, but not getting over the hump....and James Reimer, y'know.

Yeah I'll be cheering for them as well. Though if they win that'll be another team that wins the cup before my Canucks do.

I caught the third period and OT on Saturday. Looks like they just might make a series out of it. And holy Crap. When did Thornton start growing that beard?

Well it's not looking good for the Sharks. I watched the game last night and they only seemed to get their shit together in the 3rd, but it was too little too late. It's going to be pretty hard to dig themselves out of this hole.
