Agents of SHIELD: Season 3 - Discussion (SPOILERS LIKELY)

Well, FOX couldn't call use "Hydra Bob" in Deadpool, so they just called him "Bob". I imagine this would be a similar thing. So long as FOX calls her "Viper' and Marvel calls her "Madame Hydra", I don't see an issue.

It wouldn't have made any sense to call him Hydra Bob in the cameo we had of the character. Deadpool doesn't even call him (at least not very often) in the comics.

They're just incorporating Marvel stuff into the Disney Parks.
That's mostly due to Universal Studios having the theme park rights and the Disney buyout had to honor all the old contracts. I think that Disneyland is able to start adding the characters, but Disney World isn't able to because of Universal Studios Florida. They weren't even able to run a monorail with an Avengers decal on it through the park, it could only travel around the resorts due to the wording of the contract. Once it runs out, we should start seeing a lot more. I could really see Disney wanting to redo parts of Epcot and style it around SHIELD or Tony Stark's company.

The best thing about Coulson as a leader is that he's not afraid to admit how many of his command decisions are based on "I thought it would be cool if...".

Ooh, hey, you know how back in the first season, AoS gave Fitz credit for inventing the hole-cutting technology that Fury used to escape from his wrecked car in The Winter Soldier? I wonder if the energy-shield thing here is setting up a new toy for Cap in Civil War.

And thank you, ABC, for not pointlessly interrupting the program with election results.

Hmm... An odd mini-trend tonight... Both comics-based network shows (The Flash and AoS) ended with a character declaring an intention to recreate the experiment that produced the superpowers central to the show.

^Probably clearing the decks for Civil War. I'm sure they'll be back sooner or later, though it seems AoS at least are finally done with them.

Am I the only one who thought for a second there that the trans-human club thing was going to turn out to be a front for a new AIM? Seems like the kind of direction they'd go in if they still existed at all.

I almost shot my TV when George Stephanopolis showed up to predict the election results. Thankfully, they then started the show from the beginning and didn't interrupt again.

Great episode. It felt like a movie and nothing happened that I expected (which is good). I thought they would heal Daisy by the end of the episode, I thought Fitz or Simmons would die, I didn't expect to see Alicia, and I like the Australian Gambit. In fact, Hive's lineup is way better than SHEILD's.

Talbot also kicked ass knocking out Hydra. I'm liking his character more and more, especially now that he's working with Coulson.

And it's about time Fitz and Simmons hooked up, though I wonder what curse-like thing will come from it (if Fitz was right).

Oh, and does anyone know what Hotel is being referenced (if there is a reference). It feels like I should know this.

Director Coulson was the weak point with his insistence of going out on crutches. At least they finally said it, he is now on a mission to save his daughter as he left General Talbot to do what we pay Generals to do

People seem to hate romantic relationships whenever they pop up on comic book shows but Fitzsimmons is getting a lot of praise. They say it was handled well and Fitz especially is getting a lot of mention for having grown into it. There's also a bit of a consensus that either Fitz or Simmons will die. Maybe Fitz.

Yeah, it was nice that they talked about the effect having sex would have on their relationship, worked through it like adults. It's very much in character for them, too.

As nice as it was to see Fitz and Simmons finally take the dive...was that really the time and place for it? Aren't they still on a mission? :p

I didn't realize Universal still had park rights, I figured they would have gone to Disney after the sale. One of the Disney Parks did have a Superhero HQ that was recently shut down, and does have meet and greet characters, but I guess that must be all they're allowed to do now.
The show is really firing on all cylinders right now.
I loved Fitz and Simmons working together undercover at the club, and then getting together. Mack's comment about them using the same malfunction coms cover as Hunter and Bobbi cracked me up.
Coulson's shield was cool. Even though the character has gotten darker, it's still nice to see them throw in those little moments that remind me of what Coulson was like when the character was first introduced.
I have to compliment the writers. They finally killed off Ward, still managed to keep Brett Dalton around, and actually made him more interesting in the process.
I'm liking Daisy and Hive, they make a good villainous pair.
Was the Australian guy a comic character? The only Marvel character I know of with powers like his is Gambit, and he was definitely not Gambit.
Apparently Holden Radcliffe, the scientist that FitzSimmons and Hive were after is a character from the Machine Teen comic series. I'd never even heard of that series, or any of it's characters, until I was just on Wikipedia trying to find Aussie Not-Gambit's name.
