Well, everyone cannot be an officer. Academy only takes the best and the brightest, getting in isn't easy.Well, think about it...in a century where money isn't an object and anyone can be a starship captain or officer, meeting new lifeforms and civilizations, who would want to be a janitor?
Agreed. But I assume it's still what happens off screen. Not showing robots doing crap jobs has always been the Achilles heel of the no money thing in Star Trek.
I was under the impression she cleaned herself. I can't remember the episode this was mentioned but I recall the line. If I were to hazard a guess I'd say "Up The Long Ladder"
Up The Long Ladder said:RIKER: That isn't necessary. The ship will clean itself.
BRENNA: Well, good for the bloody ship!
No, there's an ECH......
he looks exactly like the EMH but wearing yellow rubber gloves and carrying a holographic mop
I think they just forgot to turn them on. They can be very dumb sometimes. But actually I think the ship is supposed to be self cleaning. There should be tiny cleaning bots or something.
