Spoilers STAR TREK BEYOND

Huh....really thought that they would have shown something new there. I wonder what they are waiting for?

Yeah and at the same time, Pegg has said he's seen the new trailer and likes it very much.

Strange though as this will only serve to feed the trolls until we do see a new trailer.

Well good, we know there is one atleast. Maybe they're going to wait till we get closer to CA: Civil War. The slate is so crowded with films, maybe they are just sorta gonna build it up and then hit it all at full blast.

Cheer up. Lin - the director - expressed some amount of stun that they included the motorcycle thing, and Pegg outright didn't like the trailer, and he wrote the movie.
Weirdly, that trailer is nominated for a Golden Trailer Award as "best teaser". Presumably trailer factories are allowed to nominate their own work.

It was a good trailer. Just because some backwards thinking trekkies don't like it doesn't mean its not good.

LOL in 2013 they showed 18 minutes of new Into Darkness footage at CinemaCon, now absolutely nothing. Reporters who were there said it was pretty awkward. Instead of Star Trek Beyond, they showed a new trailer for Baywatch after Pegg and Abrahms left the stage... a movie which comes out in.... May 2017!!!

Maybe they're strategy is to release such a complete lack of news or footage to the point that it gets people talking (as it already is) thus generating buzz about the movie without actually giving anything away in regards to the plot.

Maybe.

Maybe they just couldn't get the trailer ready in time.

It was a terrible trailer. Just because the movie we glimpse seems to be good doesn't mean the actual trailer is good.

Not opinion. FACT.

;)

I should put that into my sig.

I think we are all wondering that. It's been theorised that Enterprise crew members could bring keepsakes of Earth on the mission, and Kirk brought his bike. But that's only a theory.

The first trailer was great.

People are anxious for another and wondering when they'll release it? Awesome.

Unless he bought a new bike.

In the 09 movie he gave it away as he boarded the shuttle to take him to the Enterprise.

There's no fact in your opinion whatsoever. At least my opinion is supported by an award nomination. :techman: Lots of people liked the trailer and apparently people in the industry did too.

Maybe they just couldn't get the trailer ready in time.

Yes. It's brilliant! :shifty:

I thought the Beyond teaser was fine. Kirk on a motorcycle? Heck, he drove a 1920s-style car (or tried to) in "A Piece of the Action".

I bet if that had been Captain Robau on a motorcycle, everyone would be saying how bad ass it was. ;)
