Big Bang Theory Season 9 Discussion (Spoilers included)

There was one big plot hole, I thought. Anyone who was so knowledgeable about computers would never tell someone to buy an Alienware

I noticed that as well. Back in the day, I recall that they were state-of-the-art super-high-end gaming/graphics machines, but I think most people now agree that the quality of the hardware went severely downhill after "DUDE! You got bought by Dell!" in 2006 and has gotten consistently mixed reviews since then. I guess, to some, they're nothing more now than Dell laptops with an expensive and colorful outer case. I don't really have an opinion on the subject, either way. I build my own iron.

With all that stuff that Sheldon has in the storage (including 2 desktop computers....the current one in the apartment probably replaced one of those), I'm guessing that Sheldon has been in that apartment since 1998 or 2000.

I don't think Sheldon follows hardware that much otherwise he wouldn't have bought his older Alienware laptop in the first place.

Do wonder how much much alienware pay for product placement but then again how many people would actually recognise the brand if they didn't know the logo in the first place?

It's not as blantant as Sony in the recent James Bond films or the Windows Phone and MS Surface in Hawaii-50.

I would have been surprised if Leonard had bought a sports team cap. Though I would have gone with Ravenclaw but that's just me.

Sheldon is my spirit animal when it comes to nature. Pretty to look at, not to be in... Bears, snakes, and bugs no thanks!

I kind of want that bear. It looks comfy.

Uh, he has everything he's ever owned (that, presumably, he was able to save at least; surely his mother was able to get rid of some things at least) in there, including stuff from his childhood. I'm not sure how you're coming to that conclusion based on the storage locker.

^ I've always liked it better long. Some women can pull off short hair very well (Sharon Stone, Halle Berry) but Kaley isn't one of them.

^ You think there's something written in her contract about keeping her hair a certain length?

That seems a bit much, if it's true. It's just hair after all.

Well then they probably let her because Penny was going to be starting a new job, a new chapter in her life. So maybe a new hairstyle was seen as a good thing.

The WB famously banned their actors from cutting their long hair after one haircut tanked Felicity's ratings.

I mean, I was just personally surprised by it. For all I know she might have had it written out of her contract as part of those negotiations they did last year or whatever, or maybe they never had such a clause. Who knows?

That is stupid. Are viewers so shallow that they will stop watching something just because an actor cuts their hair?

That was a rhetorical question.

I can't speak for Felicity or even BBT, but quite a few shows run at a different timeframe than they air. Take the Walking Dead for example, a drastic haircut, change of facial hair, or noticeable tattoo for instance, could really screw things up or require a ton of cash to cover up with makeup/wigs/etc. And it would be just downright annoying (and expensive) if they changed it on a whim even during the season.

Consistency can be really important at times.
