CBS/Paramount sues to stop Axanar

As I recall, that is what stopped them using Jadzia Dax clips in the final episode of DS9 - they would have had to pay

The problem with Jadzia was the use of her voice clip in a previous Season Seven episode, for which Farrell's agent should have been notified in advance, but wasn't. Because this situation was still under review, footage of Jadzia was avoided for the finale, but Terry Farrell had no hard feelings on that particular issue, and actually attended the wrap party after "What You Leave Behind".

Really...? Never heard that one before!

I'd always read that it was because she'd been asking for too much money for her image to be used - from an article written at the time

Interesting tweet... Might be nothing, but its curious given the recent reveal of the amended complaint!

Don't forget to add the 2011 Mind Sifter shoot.

No. He identified his salary as a producer. I've not seen anywhere that he added additional monies paid to him as an actor. (and, if I'm correct, it was others, not Peters, who observed that his union dues were paid.)
Actors' salaries are buried within line items that are not at all obvious. I've been working on a budget analysis for AxaMonitor that will point out where additional money he earned as an actor might be buried. Hopefully some time this week.

I saw that, too. RMB has always struck as the more melancholy of that lot. After the lawsuit was originally filed he posted a somber tweet with a darkened photo of the Ares bridge. A bit later the tweet disappeared, but the photo was repurposed into a "isn't the Ares bridge awesome?!" post. #controlthenarrative

I dug into that and a tweet or two below, he says he's got another project going. If that tweet wasn't referencing one of those, my guess is he hit that bottle of Jameson in his office and was a little buzzed when he got on Twitter (could've been the same for the Ares bridge - he possibly tweeted out that darkened shot in his buzzed/melancholy state and then deleted it once he dried out a bit).

Either way, I could see his disposition becoming a potential liability for Alec if he keeps sending out these kind of tweets.

So Peters was paid to produce NV? Who else does NV pay to produce their show?

For those interested, here's that Instagram post from Burnett on the bridge set.

Here's the one he replaced it with.

Kind of somber when you contrast it to this photo from a few weeks prior:

I guess this is the big difference between a fan film group that actually, you know, makes and releases their fan films vs. one that just bleeds its donors for money in a shameless cash grab without producing anything of value beyond unauthorized merch.

I think on some level, RMB might be starting to *get it*........like Alec though, his ability to communicate that is somewhat warped.

And the big honkin' blog post -
Axanar: Plaintiffs File An Amended Complaint
I thank you for reading and for your kind support.

I have to run off and do homework now. Questions? It's probably easier (and faster) to either ask them in comments to that post or to send me a PM here or on Facebook. I'm happy to research but of course family, school, and work are priorities and so there may be a delay. But this matter is of interest to me and I don't mind looking as I'm learning/refreshing my recollection these days, too. You are not bothering me, and I am open to your inquiries. If I miss something or I seem I have, give me a nudge. I don't want it lost in the shuffle and I do want to answer if I can (and if I can't, I will tell you so).

But, according to SAG, any Minimum wages required by law would apply, and then the 17% payment to sag would also be required....
Yes, but not meeting a minimum wage law would not only be SAG violation, but would be, well, a wage law violation. (Importantly, SAG New Media doesn't require talent to be reimbursed at any rate higher than the prevailing minimum wage laws require. (Non-New Media contracts *do* have SAG scale minimums which are, of course, far in excess of prevailing minimum wage rates.)
