Same here. I always enjoyed reading his posts. He was a fair-minded person to everyone.

I haven't been on the BBS as much as I had in the past, but I remember Mal to be a real classy, genuine, and friendly guy. Condolences to all his family and friends.

Still feeling badly about what went down with you John. I've kept a reference to you in my signature ever since you passed away. Nobody has posted here since 2010... You're not forgotten, at least by a few folks. So much has changed here. You wouldn't recognize this place. :(

I was away from the BBS at the time and didn't know this transpired. I only found out recently.

Very belated condolences to his loved ones.

Thank you Gary7, Mallory was a fine man and welcomed me to the BBS when I joined. You are not the only one that remembers him. :(

I still remember good old Mallory. I still have his address in my Amazon address book. And I always make it a point to use his namesake whenever I need to look cool. --> :mallory:

The thing I miss the most about Mallory was talking sports with him. He was one of the reasons why there were members here suggesting we had a sports forum, and while I'm not a hardcore college football fan, it was fun talking about the pac 10 games every week (With Oregon and Stanford at the height of their powers at the time). That forum became an emptier place when he passed away, and I was thinking about that the other day. While I didn't know him in real life, he was such a fun, nice, and caring person to talk to. Like other members who have passed away (Like Techman), the forum became an emptier place without them. :(

He's still on my Friend list. I used to love arguing sports with him too. Duck-loving bastard....

    :scream:

    Here's to you, Mallory.

But you have to admit, that was a fun time. Stanford and USC was pretty much at the top of the conference, and Oregon was just starting to be dominant. Things don't feel like they've changed that much, other than maybe Oregon falling back a bit.

I didn't interact with him much, but he was always a nice guy. I noticed the dates from the last post before the bump. Nearly 5 1/2 years. I agree that this place has changed. I just realized I've been in this place for nearly ten years, later this month. The TrekBBS I first lurked then signed on was a different place. Yeah. Time flies.
