I think that says a lot. And none of us are claiming One True Trek or it's better than anything JJ every produced.

Yet. :vulcan:
I build my fanaticism slowly, so that it takes root. That way, when I spread the gospel, it will ring true.

do Ares and Axanar have shareholders and boards? if so, who? If not, are they LLCs with members receiving passthrough of profit and loss?

Axanar Productions, Inc is a privately held for profit California corporation with Alec holding 100% of the stock (as far as we know).

As such, any release of financial data is purely voluntary. Alec said he would release updated financials Q1 2016.

Oh Alec, you can't have your cake and slam it into someone else's face too.

Which is comforting considering Axanar Production's sterling track record when it comes to meeting projected release dates.

Anyone ever dig around more on this Alec Peters $1,250,000 money hole? A company he started in 2007 then closed a couple years later.

"So who is Screaming Sports? Well, Shawn Haynie, my co-founder and CTO built the first version of FSDashboard three years ago as a way to help him manage all his fantasy teams from different sites. He got all the guys in his league using it and they loved it. So he approached me in October of 2005, as I had left the last company I founded, Marketworks, and was working on developing my next venture. Being a technologist (he was my lead architect at Marketworks), he didn't know how to build a company around his technology. That was cool, because I can't code to save my life, but know about start-ups!"

Is it relevant to Axanar? Well, maybe. It sounds a lot like Ares Digital, where Terry is the tech guy and Alec is the business guy. I would love to hear from Alec’s business partner in Screaming Sports. And the VC firm who gave them all that dough. What happened? Don’t get me wrong, I think people should go out and do startups and try to innovate, it’s one of the things I admire about Alec - he tries new stuff and sometimes wins, sometimes not. That’s business. But, did they blow it all on carpet?

The funny thing about Screaming Sports is that they just disappeared. They released a Facebook app, when to a Braves game, and that was pretty much it.

He never actually denies that he said the things posted. Even if he did say some good things, he still said the nasty stuff too. I also notice that he was just complimenting one specific aspect of the series, not the whole series themselves.
Haha. Like how a filmmaker asks your opinion on his awful movie and you reply, "It was beautifully shot."
