I am going to hire @Squiggy to make my fan film "Prelude to Prosecution."
It will be 30 minutes long and will contain interviews with various members of the Axanar team - each portrayed by "professional" actors - interspersed with shots of the U.S.S. Ares crashing into buildings, getting shot down by CBS C&D7s, blowing up from hubris drive overloads, etc. Tony Todd has already agreed to contemplate tweeting about his possible decision to accept or reject our proposed concept art for an offer sheet that may or may not contain his name.
I'm always editing my posts before clicking reply without checking them over they end up reading like a mental patient wrote them.
Please... board rules prohibit me posting links, but trust me, there will be fund raising, and it will be amazing.Really...? Can I be a part of the production?

listen to the Axanar official podcast of 8/30/15, with Alec and the director being interviewed, repeatedly talk about how they are using other people's IP, having a program in place to license their IP to others, a dump on Renegade for not having business smarts about CBS IP and "never having official sanction" (listen for "oh we hired the best lawyers.."), the 'little heads' of fans, and if CBS gets upset that their IP is being used without permission, sorry but they arent using it... then another section about the future of Ares studios, a place where they can show equity investors the quality of their work, and deliberately doing productions to guild auspices so their work can be picked up by CBS in the future, and creating a studio known for great genre movies as they will be known for making quality Star Trek, and how CBS should (but refused to) let them (Axanar) license Star Trek products to resell "because they are working at such a high level"...
listen for this highlight at approx 30:10, and how the rest of the sentence is finished
"but, you do not want to do things that are gonna piss off CBS..."
minutes 20 - 40: http://hwcdn.libsyn.com/p/7/c/3/7c3...53190718&hwt=c39fed7a1354f7143c18cfdb4eaa40a8
and this was just a single dip into what they have put online. I just don't know how they think anything can save them..
Some more quotes from Alec Peters from this thread:
Alec Peters from 3 years ago is a total Axanar hater...![]()

Sorry David Gerrold has that position sown up already.Sweet... Well I do a fair bit of writing, so can I be the script writer?
listen to the podcast section highlighted above, especially the part where Alec talks about how invalid the Renegade defense is, and the part about not pissing of CBS. Adds to your list, and this is recent.
I am tired of the Axanar team trying to throw everyone under the bus. It's cowardly and childish.Yes, not a fan of that exchange. At least we got our film done and showed it to CBS like we planed to do. The big difference is we (STNV and STC also) respect CBS and understand that Star Trek is their property not ours.

I worked for insurance carriers for the most part (and it was years ago) and I don't recall anything like a background check being done prior to taking someone's case even when I worked for an indie firm. Doesn't mean they don't happen now, but a firm is probably under no obligation and it doesn't change things much except in the context of, in non-pro bono matters, whether a client can conceivably pay legal bills. Doing a background check to answer that question may or may not be ethical, BTW. Lawyers are not required to starve, but at the same time, if they only take cases because someone can pay, that means a lot of people would go without representation (hence pro bono exists). But I digress.
As for myself, I am finished with the StandWithCBS group after I was kicked off unfairly after mentioning opinions
And now for something utterly made up about Alec Peters...
while I wouldn't personally publish something like this, it is still interesting to note in the response that he edited the meaning to change who is in the hot seat.
From a reddit thread on the firm that took the case:
"From the picture Alec posted with the attorneys it looks like the firm gave this case to two of their newest lawyers. It's a proving ground for them, to see how well those lawyers can argue a case."
"So its basically the lawyer version of the Kobayashi Maru."
Well, they might have bothered to look up her resume. No, she's not a neophyte. From a reddit thread on the firm that took the case:
