So......
Even though 4-5 months is a very normal waiting period between theatrical release and home-cinema release, and marketing-wise May the 4th actually makes perfect sense........???
Also, I work in a retail store where we also sell dvd/blurays..... They are released on ALL DAYS of the week.
A tizz? No clue if I'm having one or am in one, never heard of it.
But sure, I can get a bit riled up if I ask a simple question and the first response needs the work 'fucking' in it, as if there's some kinda point to underscore. Civil response tend to make me respond civil. Uncivil responses though....
Second. Yes, dvd/bluray releases are scheduled throughout the week. Age Of Ultron, for example, was released on october 2, a friday.
The local Walmart was selling "pre-registry" packages that included extra content and a guaranteed copy of the film - to be released according to the package in March.

Hm, perhaps it varies per country?
Just checked Amazon, and there's no release date there yet.... You'd think that if Walmart had a release date, so would Amazon. Hoping you're right though, early release would be sweet.
You'd think that the studios wouldn't want huge differences between releases though? I mean, I can see how theatrical releases wouldn't matter to much, since some European countries get Marvel movies a week or two before the US.
But with dvd/bluray, you'd run the risk of high quality downloads becoming available for countries where the movie hasn't been released on physical media yet.
I mean, I'd still buy it, since I want the bluray for my collection, but I know plenty of people that would be satisfied with the download.
