NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? What?

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

They are being quite reckless right now. If they had played this way the entire season things might have been different for them.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

This is an astoundingly flag happy officiating crew tonight. The poor Redskins are getting hosed out there. Virtually every drive Dallas has sustained has been at the benefit of a penalty.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Well, as I both predicted and feared, angry Dallas showed up tonight. Between that and Deshawn Jackson's bullshit showboating, it cost us the game. :sigh:

The special teams should be doing extra laps this week until they puke for that final kick "return" clown show.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

You safely predicted both a big Redskins win AND that Dallas would play angry and spoil things for you, so you were pretty safe either way... ;)

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

...but they have been known to quite adeptly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in similarly "easy" games in the past, and with staggering frequency.

Increase that frequency...

That's what I get for picking the Deadskins... good lord, they just can't accept success.

He could work for ESPN!

What a miserable, boring, ugly game. I only paid attention to it because of my fantasy team. Thank you Darren McFadden for being a goof and scoring a touchdown instead of taking a knee at the one, so that the 'Boys could let time run out and kick a winning FG. That allowed the 'Skins to score, and gave Breeland a few more tackles on the ensuing Cowboys possession - so I made the playoffs (by one point). Thanks fantasy sports for making crappy football worth watching!

Heh...yeah, I guess I did. Whoops... :alienblush:

Aww...now that's just mean!

It was extremely ugly. And I'll give you the boring, but only up until Q4, where it was anything but. I can't believe how much Witten (82) on the offense and Lee (50) on the defense dominated the field over everyone the entire night. Their ability to spot gaps and break through the line was shocking to behold. And someone should check Lucky Whitehead (13) (such a curious and somewhat amusing name) to see if someone surgically installed a jetpack in his ass. That dude looks like he can approach near-FTL speeds when he gets rolling!

Seriously, with obvious talent like that and seeing them running at full throttle, and even without Romo, why has Dallas fallen so far behind this season? These guys should be giving the Panthers and Pats a run for their standings!

I just don't get it.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

It's the Cowboys. They overachieve at underachieving.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Bears lose for the 2nd straight week because Gould can't hit a FG.

Fuck!

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

I'm really starting to wonder if Gould is hurt. It isn't at all like him to whiff kicks like this.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Every kicker gets to a point where they "lose it", but you could be on to something too.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Well, Gould's PATs have been hooking left (but still making it) for like six weeks, now, which raised an eyebrow. But when he started missing chip shots, that's when I really got suspicious. He's never had accuracy (or clutch) problems like this in the past.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Finally, a quality win for the Raiders' defense. With his 5 sacks Khalil Mack, who has been solid since the day we drafted him, is now starting to look like the offense distorting force we thought we were getting. One of his sacks was for a safety, so he also provided some much needed scoring.

Still on track for .500 after which, Reggie can turn his attention to the defense in the draft.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

And Pats back on top. Another 3-4 players leave injured, but they pull out the win. Texans' defensive line looked amazing, that's a lot of high draft picks there! With Dalton on the shelf for a while (if not the season), the bye looks like it's back in play for the Pats.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Brady just throws frakin darts... I could catch that :)

The Steelers get it done on the road, albeit against an "Andyless" Bungles... guess they shouldn't have called the same play twice in a row, eh? :guffaw:If I'm the Bungles O coord, I throw the ball to Green 10 times in a row... we couldn't cover him.

Still on the outside looking in, need the Jets or the Chiefs to lose, and of course we need to keep wining...

Maybe a chink in the Bronco's armor?... but we'll need to get pressure on the QB like the Raiders did.

I'm not surprised the Raiders play the Bronco's tight BTW, they played them tight when they stunk... now they don't stink.

With your hands? I don't think so. But I could be wrong, maybe you have played some college football or even high school in a good program, but catching a football thrown by a strong armed quarterback is MUCH more difficult that it looks even if not in a game situation. That's why generally teams don't allow quarterbacks to catch the ball while warming up.

Catching balls thrown by these guys with your hands is something that takes a certain amount of courage and practice.

Sorry if it looks like I went overboard on this. :)

I was referring to his accuracy, but I get ya.

Re: NFL 2015-2016 Season - Maybe extra points actually ... matter? Wha

Multiple reports are saying that Jeff Fisher and Les Snead are safe in St. Louis.

Fun fact: Fisher only needs 11 more losses to become the losingest coach in league history.

#HTTR :D Redskins 1st in NFC East! :p

http://espn.go.com/blog/washington-...-kirk-cousins-answers-questions-leads-big-win

What it means: Here's a sentence no one thought would be written at the start of the season: Thanks to the New York Giants' loss to Carolina Panthers, Washington can clinch the NFC East with a win at the Philadelphia Eagles next week, regardless of what the Eagles do against Arizona on Sunday night. If the Eagles beat the Cardinals, then next week's game in Philadelphia will be for the division title. The Redskins are 7-7, the latest they've been at .500 in a season since 2012 -- and only the second time they've reached this mark since 2008. It's quite an accomplishment for a team that many projected to win six games -- if healthy. The Redskins have certainly surpassed expectations.

I think they can do it! :bolian:
