1984 FERRARI TESTAROSSA WHITE

Need a great, bad-ass car to pretend to be a drug dealer in? Good thing this one was just confiscated. Nothing beats a limited edition white Ferrari Testarossa. Sleek and fast, it is also stylish enough to go with suit jackets and t-shirts and beach shoes with no socks.

MIAMI VICE

The cult classic TV series about undercover vice detectives in Miami. The show was made famous by its characters’ clothing styles and Miami backdrop. The white Ferrari Testarossa was the second car featured in the show.

“You’ve got to know the rules before you can break them. Otherwise it’s no fun.”

The 512 Testarossa came out came out when I was in sr high school. It was the most ostentatious car ever seen at that point. It actually made the Countach look old. And then they did better by putting it on Miami Vice! My car-loving buddies and I all had posters of this car. I've seen a few at Lime Rock historic fest and they are still beautiful.

To me, this is the car that more than anything, screams 80's. It's so iconic of the 80's that it's one of the first things that comes to mind about the 80's. Sexy car.

I guess Ferrari has been well placed in terms of 80's TV shows, also with Magnum P.I featuring the 308 GTS.

I didn't like it then and I still don't, but I never went in for the '80s styling overkill. Sometimes less is more. And Miami Vice was headed downhill by then; the best seasons were with the (fake) Daytona.

Word. I generally like Ferrari's, but this one was and still is 80's overkill. :wtf:

Ferrari has made some beautiful cars, but this isn't one of them. It's way too overstyled and cartoonish-looking.

Isn't that the whole point of owning a Ferrari? ;)

Of course it's 80's overkill. But sometimes that can be an awesome thing indeed! :techman:

I mean, I personally would never own a car like this (even if I could afford it) because I'd be scared to death that it'd get dinged as soon as I took it out of the garage. But 80's cheese is the BEST cheese!
