Gal Gadot cast as Wonder Woman In ‘Batman Vs. Superman’

We haven't heard about if, if anyone, will be the connecting character.
I think I remember being kind of meh when the rumors about the WWI setting were circulating before, but now I like it. WWII is probably one of the most popular settings for period movies, so it'll be nice to the less common World War in the movie. Do we know for a fact that there will be modern scenes, and that Trevor(s) would appear in both time frames? I don't even remember hearing rumors about anything like that.

Yeah, it was Angela Bassett's Waller in Green Lantern who was intended to be a Fury-like crossover character unifying a shared universe, a plan that was abandoned when GL bombed. I don't recall if the same plan has been announced for Viola Davis's Waller.

Batman's taken over as the unifier for DC movie verse with his appearance in Suicide Squad.

Him keeping tabs on everyone wouldn't be out of character for him

Chris Pine talked about WW, Steve Trevor and Gal Gadot.

Gadot later teases him about it.

Well, assuming they aren't going for the "sculpted from clay" origin, they need to cast someone who looks like she could be Gal Gadot's biological mother.

I've never heard of this actress before, though.

For myself, I mostly remember her from Gladiator (Lucilla) but I've also seen her in The Following, 3 Days to Kill and SVU.
I think she'll do fine in the role.

I was going to say Gladiator, and also Mission To Mars (one of fave guilty pleasure movies). Haven't seen her in anything high-profile recently, but pretty decent actor as I recall.

I'd forgotten Mission, and I was thinking of watching that a few weeks ago too:sigh:

I think it will be interesting to have most of the movie during the First World War. But I wonder if it will address why Diana does not return to Man's World for WWII as well?

^^
She figured Cap had it covered ;)

On a serous note, we still don't know what her impetus is in the first place, WW1 isn't exactly a clear cut good vs evil conflict so I doubt she joins up to pick a side.

It would never happen but a Marvel/DC crossover movie would probably make a TON of money! :rommie: No matter how crazy the premise.

Never say never. Disney has acquired Pixar, ABC, Marvel, Lucasfilm, the Muppets... I wouldn't put it past them to merge with Time Warner or acquire Warner Bros. from them someday.
