World Of Warcraft - Legion

COMING TO LEGION

GNOME.HUNTERS.

YES IT IS REALLY TRUE

Players have been jumping up and down pulling at blizzard's sleeves for a very long time for this.

Just last week I made a gnome on my original cesspit of a server because I had an inspired name, I made her a warrior but now I am just going to leave her there until Legion and make her a hunter. She will have red hair.

I don't like it. Non-NE/Dwarven/Tauren/Troll/Orc hunters are unnatural. Back in the olden days, everyone knew what classes they could roll on any given race. Nowadays, dem youngins just roll Human hunters and what have you. Cats and dogs living together!

Back in the olden days, we had to save up for several years and get a mortgage to afford a 5% speed, gray-brown Kodo AND WE LIKED IT

Edit: Actually, it always bummed me out that they removed the Tauren plainsrunning we used to have in the Beta. It looked so dumb and great.

Back in my day we had to wear a damn trinket for a %3 mounted speed increase. And we liked it.

I miss my carrot on a stick. And my riding crop.

Your Benediction brings all boys to the yard.

:guffaw:

They are still there waiting for you, don't you miss them?

I hope you at least abandoned them in an inn!

I see you made it all the way to the Wetlands to buy your Black Stallion. Of course now you can buy it in SW as well, can't have the delicate players getting their feet wet.

I also went all the way to Darnassus and did the lowbie Nelf quests to get to exalted.

My white swift stormsaber was all the rage in IF.

My first character did all the quests in all the zones for all the mounts.. and I was so proud of being exalted with each city. Of course now you just stick a tabard on and run some lowbie dungeons but originally it was fantastic to be running around on on a cat mount when you weren't a Nelf.

It was mind-blowing early on to see any epic mount.

I remember having to loan 20G or so from a buddy to be able to afford my regular 40G mount at level 40. The epic mount price was basically moon money.

My first character took mining and I found the AH pretty early. I worked the auction like a boss and never had gold issues when it came to mounts.

I never passed up an ore node. never.

Yeah I knew it would be hard but I had the gold ready when I hit level. Of course I started in BC when it was presumably easier but people still were running at 50 because of the gold. I used to stalk darkmoon faire every month, there were items that would appear you could resell at a (then) big profit.

In BC, out in netherstorm, there was a vendor that would always have one or two adamantium frames. A highly sought after engineering mat at the the time. I made a fortune reselling those for a huge markup and would check that vendor a few times a day.

I remember thumbing my nose at/looking down on the influx of TBC kiddies - nowadays, I look back at TBC with an almost frightening amount of nostalgia (which I would never have believed if you told me back then).

My biggest moment of joyous wonder was during the Closed Beta, recognizing a barracks building in Elwynn Forest from a third-person (WoW) perspective instead of a top-down (Warcraft 3) one and being able to go inside (!!!) - mindblowing.

TBC was similarly amazing for a longtime Warcraft fan - travelling through the Dark Portal, meeting Medivh, Illidan.

Heh.

I just realized that now that we have a dedicated home office type room, I also have a perfect battlestation kind of place to play PC games.

This is probably not a good thing.
