55 mintutes long BTW!

09.12 Hell Bent: "If you took everything from him, betrayed him, trapped him, and broke both his hearts...how far might the Doctor go? Returning to Gallifrey, the Doctor faces the Time Lords in a struggle that will take him to the end of time itself. Who is the Hybrid? And what is the Doctor’s confession?"

I'm guessing this will be longer than 45 minutes too.

Annoys me that he finally makes it to Gallifrey, but Clara isn't there with him. Not really anyway.

Yeah, it would have been great if Clara could have visited the real Gallifrey. She did help save it in DoTD. I wish we could get a happy episode where the Doctor brings Clara to see a rebuilt Gallifrey and she is awed by it and the Doctor is happy to be home. Instead, it seems from the synopsis that the Time Lords betray or piss off the Doctor (again) so the Doctor has to fight them and definitely won't be able to bring Gallifrey back to the normal universe.

The funny thing is as EPIC!!!! as all this sounds, we already know that three weeks later at Christmas it's all back to the Status Quo again.

^

The Doctor is slumped in his recliner. He's totally dejected

River Song- Oh why are you so sad sweetie?

The Doctor- How did you.....

River Song- Spoilers and it's Christmas

Newspaper headline-

2 million viewers exit doctor who finale

;)

Those descriptions sound great. I can't wait to see the episodes, but on the other hand I don't want the series to end. Even with a few bad episodes, this series has been a huge improvement over Series 8, and I want too see more with Capaldi.

So the Doctor is actually going to find Gallifrey? Okay, any speculation on the reason that will be given as to why he can't stay? Be honest, that's the only way the finale can end.

The reason he was ready to use the Moment to begin with was that he felt the Time Lords had become irredeemably evil, every bit as bad as the Daleks if not worse. He evidently hoped a thousand or more years locked up in solitary confinement, with the planet needing to be rebuilt and with the knowledge of how they came within millimeters of losing everything, would have put a scare into them and motivated them to become the moral and responsible stewards of the Universe he'd always wanted them to be.

And, just as evidently, his hopes will prove to be in vain. Once he gets a glimpse of what post-Time War Gallifrey has become, and how far into the Dark Side his people have fallen, it'll be all he can do to escape his homeworld - again - without breaking the Time Lock and unleashing something truly terrifying on the cosmos.

They make him President. Hmm. I wonder if Moff is going to make that the reason the Doctor originally left Galifrey? Running from responsibility. Hope not.

Isn't waitress Clara supposed to be from Hell Bent? And seeing as the Doctor's on Gallifrey, perhaps the Gallifreyan Clara splinter who pointed him towards the TARDIS reappears.
