If you KNOW about the new series...

If you have any knowledge about the actual specific concepts in play (or more) with the new series, go use an anonymizer, then come back, make a fresh account here, and spill it.

Seriously. If you need help with anonymizers, message me. By Nimoy (a sacred oath from me), I will keep your current user name completely secret.

No trolls, please. Only serious people involved with the new show.

We know three names of people associated with the new series:

Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Heather Kadin.

And this is howthe new series has been described:

The brand-new Star Trek will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966.

I would humbly suggest that viewing the above persons' t.v. credits give the best clue as to what they would do with a new Star Trek series. That is all I have.

Orici hasn't been mentioned as being involved in any of the official releases....

My bad. I read things a little too quickly.

Translation (maybe) ...

Not the same old characters (Kirk, Spock, Picard, etc.).
Not the same old worlds (Earth, Vulcan, various previously seen homeworlds).
Not the same old civilizations (Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, Borg, etc.).

Sounds good so far, if true.

I agree with T'Girl. For all it's problems at least Enterprise used races like the Xindi and kept the Klingons to a minimum. After a while one tends to get Klingoned out.

I got a PM from a source that I trust but I can't reveal. There will be a reoccurring tribble "character". It's a pet and more or less the comedic relief.

More like Scrappy Doo, but he's testing well with kids. Market research has shown that kids love balls that makes cute noises, just look at BB-8 from Star Wars The Force Awakens. Paramount wants a fuzzy ball that every child in the world wants to play with.
