Doctorwhovian
Fleet Captain
Anybody notice that we're getting a lot of that this season?
The Witch's Familiar basically has the same conclusion as the story. The Doctor basically 'gives' the Daleks/Davros time lord technology (In the original story, Hand Of Omega, in this, regeneration energy)-which then backfires on them; and it was the Doctor's plan along. Even Davros's line, "This cannot be correct!" is similar.
Then there's "Time will tell, always does". In the original story, this was his answer to Ace's question: "We did good, didn't we?"
Considering that the Omega/Skaro thing in retrospect-according to RTD, was one of the first real acts of the Time War, maybe it's Moffat hinting that perhaps Asilder's ressurection (and the Doctor's cursing of the Time Lords?) will have bad consquences down the line.
