They consist of metal and plastic. The hulls are mostly metal, the nacelles and pylons often plastic.
Today the USS Titan petition passed over the 2000 names mark. We're 40% of the way to having a model of the USS Titan! If you'd like a such a model, please do add your name and spread the word. I'm sure we can get to the 5000 names we need!
I haven't actually signed this yet. I'll do so; I'd like a Luna. Really, the only ship that hasn't been released or announced yet that I really, really want included, to the extent that I'll be disappointed if we don't get it, is the Breen starship. I imagine that one will be a bit fiddly, but it's really the most important ship that hasn't been announced yet.
Considering the collection is finally coming to my country ("going Dutch") next year too: signed - and I'd do so for the Vesta as well. Might be worth it to check the STO forums if it's being promoted there, given the Luna is part of that game too.
Signed I like the design better than a lot of the canon ships already in the pipeline. There are a couple of resin model kits of it, including a kick ass version from the mirror universe with a better weapons pod, but they are too expensive...

Very cool. It's always nice when something from the books gets this kind of recognition. I'm still disappointing I didn't get the see the version of Star Trek: The Exhibition with the Titan stuff.
