Your favorite Back to the Future movie

Considering that I haven't seen the second or third movies, well, I guess the first would have to be my favorite. 
Definitely the first one. The second one doesn't really stand on its own and although the future sequences and putting Marty and Doc back into those scenes from the first one is kind of fun, it just seems a lot like a lot of "because we can." The third one is somewhere between the two of them. I do like the emotional center of that one a lot but it just doesn't rack up with the fun that is the original.
Personally, I love that even though these movies' central character is Marty, as its seen through his eyes, each entry is more about one individual character: the first - George, the second - Biff, the third - Doc.

I like to think that Marty's new mission in Hill Valley is to make sure that the real 2015 doesn't turn out as cartoonish and silly as BTTF2's did.
And BTTF3 is my favorite.

It is a great trilogy but of the three the first film I think is the best.
After watching a film for the first time I have a tendency to jump forward to scenes I enjoy the most when I watch it again. Only three films I have in my collection this does not happen with- BttF I, the original Star Wars and the original Alien.
It could have bogged down several times with Marty at his High School in the past but it never does. The editing keeps the story moving and it ends with you wanting to see more. With the second film you get a chance to see that 'more' but it was not quite as good as what the imagination stirred as I watched that Delorean lift off and fly to it's next adventure...

Part II is the sentimental favorite for me. I love the flying cars & hoverboards.

The trilogy is plenty of fun and well-worth rewatching every so often. But the first is the true classic movie.
I'd rank them the order in which they arrived: BTTF, B2TF, and BTTF 3. All three were great movies, and I saw BTTF 3 in the Theater.
The first film has an almost magic quality to it that the others lack. The 2015 scenes in the second one haven't aged well, obviously, which makes it the weakest of the three for me. I like the third one for Doc's improvised feats of engineering, especially the replacement IC that he builds with vacuum tubes and mounts on the hood of the DeLorean.
It may not be as great as the first movie, but to me the third movie feels like a true classic as well by this point. It's got some of my favorite moments with the 50s-style Delorean being chased by indians and the entire train sequence. And the Doc love story works surprisingly well too.

I posed the question earlier and didn't really get an answer. Which scene was better, the Iconic clocktower scene of the first movie or the train sequence in the third. Yeah the Clock Tower scene is famous, but I actually thought the train scene had more adventure and excitement. Plus to get Clara Dangling off the train is a plus.
I don't think anything in II's as dated as the Indians and Cavalry gag. Ha ha ha, cultural stereotyping and genocide!
For the first time ever, I watched the 3 movies back to back. They flow like a complete story, more so with 2 and 3, both of which I found to be the most exciting. The first one, not so much, so I picked "I like only two of them" in the poll.
These are good movies, that surprisingly, don't feel dated and they're fun without being goofy. It found a good balance somewhere. Their place as modern classics is well deserved. Christopher Lloyd is fun to watch. They don't make 'em like that anymore. And Thomas F. Wilson was fantastic the way he hammed it up as both Biff and Buford Tannen where he totally immersed himself into the part and was totally unrecognizable.
I'll miss these characters and the world of Hill Valley. Next, I'll check out the animated series to see what kind of fix that provides.
