Star Trek: Continuum

Autistoid

Captain
Star Trek: Continuum

An anthology series that takes place over many thousands of years.

A grand ark involving, ancient aliens, Qlike aliens or possibly Q himself, the first voyages to other galaxies, exoplanets, and the future of humanity itself.

Each episode is an independent story with an overreaching ark, set in multiple timelines in history.

General tone of the series is much closer to TNG with a quest for the truth being a common theme among many timelines. Within each time line will be a theme of certain individuals being elected, apointed, ordered, ordained etc to seek out the truth.

With a slight bit of the x files mixed in.

Although across different times actors can be reused to play different roles. In one episode the actor plays the skeptic captain, in the next the beliver knight seeking out the holy grail.

That being said consistancy is a requirement, avoidance of excessively campy or just for fun episodes will be made.

Sounds like some elements of True Detective and American Horror Story. I'm not sure about that last part. The actors switching parts with each season or arc. Maybe. But I think it's enough to have different setting and different centuries and timelines.

I thought a show based on the time traveling of 31st century temporal agents would involve some of that anyway. But a true detective style one season, one cast, one arc would be interesting anyhow.

I was thinking about 1 episode per season in a time period.

possibly 12 time periods between 40,000 years ago to the year 3000.

rougly 6 episodes per season in pre warp space, and 6 episodes on ships.

Worked for The Black Adder, at the end of every season they killed off all the characters and the next season the actors were back in new roles.

Sort of. Blackadder was still Blackadder. Baldrick was still Baldrick. Even George was George a few times. The time frame and the characters situations were different, but they were similar, if not the same characters.
