Turning off The Lights of Zetar

We seem to be getting increasing numbers of threads concerning the passing of Trek alumni, very sad.

RIP.

"The Lights of Zetar" was very well-chronicled in Starlog magazine. They had feature articles on Shari Lewis, guest star Jan Shutan, and director Herb Kenwith. :techman:

Anyone have any scans of that?

There's an archive of hi-res Starlog scans online. You can download articles covering the whole history of science fiction. Going after Star Trek material alone will be more than a one day project.

Shari Lewis is in Nov 1991, page 48-50:

Director Herb Kenwith is in June 1992, page 92-95:

Jan Shutan is in Feb 1994, page 58-60:

I miss Starlog

I'm just thankful the back issues are available online. Practically all the sci-fi I'm interested in is vintage now anyway. With the exception of Star Trek, most of my sci-fi is set in "future" years that have already past on the real calendar. So those old Starlogs are still "up to date" for me. :bolian:

You're very welcome. :) I've been saving my own archive of that stuff against the danger that the site will go out of business someday, or even go behind a paywall.

I wish that it could come back-we need an alternative to most of the web based 'news' media (blogs) that say a lot about sci-fi but that are just crap and not very well-written (or researched.)

Rest in peace, Mr. Tarcher-you and your wife entertained millions.
