I love how complex the story's getting. I figured that Miko's sword was Hiro's and he might even be her "father". I rather like Marcus' power, we seen regerators but he able to regenerate a total body from a severed limb, I wonder why he listed as Marcus(prime), his boss is a hypocrite though. But I am really liking the mystery so far.

I'm more sure than ever that Miko is a game character turned human. Harris asked if she was Otomo's daughter or his greatest work. (And cute, naming him after the great anime pioneer Katsuhiro Otomo.)

Having the husband in the Evo-killing duo turn out to be an Evo himself is a bit obvious. He was the one having second thoughts, in contrast to his psychopathic kill-'em-all wife. It might've been more interesting if she'd turned out to be the Evo.

So EPIC is basically evil Cerebro. The graphics even looked like the Cerebro images from the X-Men movies.

Epic is merely the digital version of Molly Walker's power it's neither good nor evil. I'm curious to know waht Noah did to Molly to make her more afraid of him than the people who're after her.

I'm calling it...HRG was behind the June 13 explosion, for some Machiavellian reason.

Well I can't rule that out, but I also can't se them making him a mass murderer, not to mention he thought Claire was at the festival. It also looks like there's some kind of EVO on EVO conflict going on. I can't wait now for the return of some of the older characters now, Angela had to know what's going on and I wonder how Matt and Hiro have hidden themselves over the past year.

Seems like Epic is a ripoff of Cerebra, only cooler looking.

I was surprised to see Chuck possess secret powers as well. I wonder if his wife knows this.

The lead character of the show destroyed the entire city of Odessa? I really doubt they'd go there.

No doubt the event will turn out to be tied to the big cataclysm that's coming and/or to the evil schemes of Renautas. Heck, just ask cui bono? Who benefits? Or, in more modern terms, follow the money. Renautas is kidnapping and exploiting Evos to power its technology and get rich. If the summit had worked and Evos had become accepted members of society, it would've been much harder to kidnap them and violate their civil rights. Marginalizing them and driving them into hiding makes it far easier for Renautas to profit from their abduction and enslavement. Therefore, Renautas and Erica Kravid are the obvious suspects.

Wasn't Renautas behind the summit? Maybe they were trying to lure in evos openly to exploit them, and another party (Angela Petrelli with HRG's help?) took drastic means to stop that.

I'm just guessing here, but they seem to be setting up that HRG was involved in something pretty bad, that he'd want himself killed before allowing his memory to be restored, and people whom he's trying to help don't trust him.

I think it's also likely that the remains of the Company are behind whatever's going on with the girl at the North Pole and her invisible friend, since Renautus seems to be after them.

Well, as I said, it's easier to exploit a group that's hidden and marginalized and afraid to come forth publicly. If Evos were accepted in society, then they could come out openly and protest when they were being targeted, and the law would go after their persecutors. But if they're all branded as terrorists and have to hide who they are, then they'd be afraid to come forward and admit being Evos in the first place, so Renautas would be free to go on exploiting them in secret.

This is why I'm frustrated with all these shows where the mutants or aliens or clones or robots or whoever continue to keep their identity a secret from the world while they're being hunted down by groups that want to kill or enslave or dissect them. If they'd just come forward, let the world know how they're being hunted and victimized, they could win support and protection. The Tomorrow People last season was particularly egregious about it. The group hunting them was just some corporation; it had no legal right to send out strike teams and hit squads and do all the horrible things it did. But it got away with it because the Tomorrow People kept their existence a secret. So they just made things worse for themselves by hiding the truth. Like so many secrets in similar shows, it was just gratuitously done in order to maintain the conceit of taking place in our world, but it was totally counterproductive for the characters themselves.

It works better here, since the Evos' existence has been outed, but the disaster was orchestrated to turn public sentiment against them, so they have a reason to hide.

I'm just guessing here, but they seem to be setting up that HRG was involved in something pretty bad, that he'd want himself killed before allowing his memory to be restored, and people whom he's trying to help don't trust him.

But he's probably doing it to protect someone, because of something he knew that could cause them harm. Best bet? Claire is alive and hiding, and Noah had his memory of that fact erased so that no one could use him to get to her. After all, this is Noah Bennet we're talking about. The one thing that motivates him most strongly is protecting his family and his daughter. It's cui bono again -- although it's not so much "Who benefits?" as "What benefit does Noah seek?" And that is always going to be the protection of his family above all else. So that's very probably what underlies his secrets.

I think it's also likely that the remains of the Company are behind whatever's going on with the girl at the North Pole and her invisible friend, since Renautus seems to be after them.

Renautas is after all the Evos, hence the evil Cerebro they invented. But Malina and the invisible woman (was that Shohreh Aghdashloo's voice?) are trying to stop the coming cataclysm, and I got the sense that Renautas is behind that cataclysm.

Considering "Chuck" didn't know he had powers, I doubt she does.

I thnk he did know that's why he's been having second thoughts about what they're doing.

He had second thoughts because he was killing people in his child's name. Gaining powers now is a symptom of the stress the guilt is putting on him.

No, I don't think so he's been having second thoughts ever since going to Primatech and he's been trying to hide his power. You get powers from stress, his powers are probably the result of whatever aurora girl and her inivisible companion are doing.

Whatever's really going on, I do like that this season seems to have some sort of plan...a mystery unraveling. My frustration with the last two seasons of the previous series was that it seemed like they were just throwing things against the wall.

I also like how they're using the introductory captions to help tell the story (explaining Harris's (?) power), and how they're getting creative with how they present the subtitles.

Well, the original plan was to start over with a different story and cast every season, with maybe only a few returnees. But the popularity of the season-1 cast led to NBC insisting that they be kept around after their original story arcs had ended, so the producers had to scramble to invent new justifications to keep the same characters in play year after year. That's why it got so labored.

Now, they're getting to do what they meant to do in the first place -- start over with mostly new characters and a self-contained seasonal arc.

I knew all of that. I just wonder, if this version is successful, will the network suits repeat history...?

I'm enjoying the revival so far. I'm pleased to see a major advancement of the story in episode 3; they're not wasting time getting to things. I was also legitimately surprised when Chuck Bartowski displayed powers; can't wait to see what happens when his wife finds out! Also, I love the annoying red headed bearded guy from "A to Z" so I'm delighted to see him here annoying Noah.

I was blown away by Molly killing herself, I certainly hope they're bringing back the older characters just to kill them off. And instead of an eclipse tieing the charcater together it's now the aurora. I am really getting interested in finding out how all the various characters fit into things, in mayn ways it is like the first season all over again.
