Back to #293 already..., dang, those two weeks flew by. I kinda dread getting back onto this treadmill. Time goes slower when being reminded every day. Screw it, onward!

Here is some Epic TechnoBabble...for the Archives.

Neussite 293

Neussite 293 is, according to the Federation's LCARS, a "highly stable liquid explosive used for industrial infusion charge applications and manufacturing. Ignited by microwave pulse detonator."

Wowsers!

Neussite 293 was available to the crew of the USS Enterprise-D, and was one of the powerful explosives suggested to be used to help free the ship when it was trapped in a Tyken's Rift in 2367. (TNG: "Night Terrors")
Atoms of this material appeared in an okudagram display of explosives listed in the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) library computer. This one in particular appears to be a reference to production staff associate Wendy Neuss.

Thanks, Jack, and, of course, King Daniel! To make it easier, I will adopt the count as if I was in the Western Hemisphere.

Steve Cory

In 1970, Cory was recruited for NASA's Apollo program to test a top secret experimental ship. In 1972, he went to the moon with his daughter Ella's drawing in his suit. He then went to NASA top secret Base on the darkside of the moon. There, he piloted the Apollo X on what was supposed to be a quick round trip, but he then disappeared and was possibly presumed dead by NASA and his family.

However, the Apollo X's Holdover capsule then had him land on Hinrichs V. Sometime after the landing, Cory's DNA was rewritten, changing him to a creature native to the planet. For 291 years, he survived as a creature.

(TOS - Lost Apollo comics: "Part 1", "Part 2")

In the TNG episode, "The Royale", it was reported that, "the planet's surface was
291° Celsius, about twenty degrees below absolute zero (0 Kelvin). This, of course, is a theoretical impossibility, suggesting this was a production mistake and actually meant to be −291 °Farenheit (−179 °Celsius).
