Found the Black Series Kylo Ren at Walmart. Went on ahead and bought it since there was only one left, and a few 3.75" Poe Dameron.

I paid less for the Black Series Kylo Ren than I would have for some of the 3.75" figures at the Cincinnati Comic Expo.

I would have loved to had some figures from Star Trek Into Darkness made in the same vein as the 6" Black Series from Star Wars. Especially one of those revamped Klingons.

The Star Wars Die Cast Elite Darth Maul was released in the Disney Stores today. They have a convoluted way to get it, at noon you have to put your name in and at 1pm they draw names for who will get them. Fortunately they only had 7 names and 16 figures but you still could only buy 1. Even if you left the store, only 1. So I'm heading back to the Disney Store tomorrow and see if there are any left.

While I was at the mall, I sauntered by the Build A Bear Workshop and they had a new Stormtrooper bear. The boys already have the Darth Bear, so got these to go with them.

Nice! Congrats on the great score, man! :) A friend and I found our 6" Kylo Ren figures at a Kmart two days after Force Friday and somehow they were still on the shelf. I haven't seen any other 6" TFA figures since with the exception of perhaps two Chewbaccas, and those eventually disappeared, too. My local stores haven't restocked in three weeks and the only retailers that seem to be carrying any 3.75" or 6" figures are the smaller chains you wouldn't normally expect to have them.

Great Darth Maul figure, Tom! That looks pretty cool! I didn't know that Build-A-Bear stores had any brand new Star Wars characters.

They have Darth Vader, Chewbacca, clothing for Han Solo, Princess Leia and C3P0. They just got the new Stormtrooper in, they are getting two more characters but the store employee couldn't tell me which ones.

So I was back at the Disney Store today, this time for my wife. Unfortunately they didn't have any Darth Maul left so I only have the one. However I did get the next in the series Designed Princess Doll for my wife. They are doing Hero's and Villains, so here is Snow White and the Hag.

Rise Against the Empire for the Disney Infinity was release today, so I picked that up as well.

Also picked up a few ornaments for the Christmas tree from the Hallmark store.

While the Y-Wing looks perfect, I'm not sure about the Enterprise C. Could I get an expert in here to verify if this is indeed the correct Enterprise C.

Images of four more figures in Walmart's exclusive 3.75" Black Series line. These are likely Wave 3 figures and will be released after the second wave assortment featuring Kylo Ren, the First Order Stormtrooper and Yavin Medal Ceremony Leia.

The Han Solo in Endor Trench Coat appears to be just a straight repack of the Vintage Collection Endor Han.

Hey, you guys are up on all things toys and collectibles.

Maybe you can explain to me the concept of a Hot Wheels Star Wars racing/sports car.

It confuses me to no end.

Like this thing.

Yeah. I have no clue.

I am glad I got out of collecting action figures a while back. While it is great fun, it left me with a tub full of worthless TNG figures. :)

Because some people like Star Wars. And some people like cars.

Back in the 70s they had Star Wars airbrushed van toys. Back in the 60s, they had Frankenstein's Flivver and Dracula's Dragula.

Hot Wheels does a lot of modern variants too. I actually rather like Hawkman's car, which has these opening wing panels, despite the fact that he doesn't have much use for one.

It's all about mixing chocolate and peanut butter to get something that will appeal to multiple collecting groups and different types of kids. Star Wars and Hot Wheels is a no-brainer from a marketing point of view when you think about it. A $3 die-cast car with Star Wars paint schemes or body designs (or both) can be a pretty popular toy vehicle with more than a few people of all ages.

I don't collect them myself but do I have a few Star Wars die-cast cars and they're very cool.

Oh it makes perfect sense in our world.

I'm just trying to come up with a plausible in-universe explanation.

The Republic, Jedi, Sith, Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire are all led by aging Baby Boomers who want to feel the wind in their hair? Or cranial scales?

The figure on the left looks like a kitbashed AT-ST Driver made for and released with one of the Scout Walker vehicles during the last decade. The one on the right is the Mos Eisley Cantina alien named Pons Limbic.

Yep, Legacy Collection Pons Limbic. Great figure. It came with a cantina table so people picked up multiples to get extra tables.

The 30th Anniversary and Legacy Collection lines had the greatest accessories ever included with basic 3.75" figures. You got your money's worth and then some for the $7.99 you paid for the average figure in both of those lines.
