Ruminations:
The game is a-hoof! Rarity must clear Rainbow Dash's name? What did Rainbow Dash do?! We'll find out this Saturday, when Rarity's eye for detail will come into play, and she must save the reputation of her good friend. Going in beforehand, I don't have much knowledge of what this will entail, but it's nice to see these Rarity episodes. I remember when I first started watching the series way back in the before times, and her character just never cottoned to me very well. That has long since changed, and I now enjoy these episodes as we get them. What do you think? Talk to me below as we await the episode!

There's a third Rarity episode next week, too! I call it the "Rarity Triumvirate."

I guess Coco isn't until the third one *sigh* well at least we're getting plenty of RD in this one, and maybe some Spitfire.

A pegasi with parents....what?

That was certainly a weird episode, not the first time they've done noir but the first extended use of it.

Wow, the wrinkles on that new guy, through fur and everything, is that the first time we've really seen that?

So many new Wonderbolts, Blaze's mane is a lazy Spitfire recolour but we never see her body so no idea what colour her coat is. Misty Flare is just too similar to Fleetfoot, who wasn't there for some reason. The tall mare at the back with the dark blue version of Pinkie's mane, we need to see more of her.

Rarity was very um....forward in this episode, even Dash was getting scared. There's being generous, then there's getting reputation. :p

Not a bad plot, bit predictable towards the end but paced it a lot better than last weeks.

Could have done without them doing RD's big final scene in greyscale, should have just let that be full colour damnit.

But as BigJim said on Twitter, all these ex-bolts might well end up creating a real Shadowbolt team someday.

Oh and Rarity had a few scenes, that was okay I guess.

A couple of thoughts:
1) Why are Dash and Rarity excited about staying in the castle. They've been ans stayed there plenty of times.

2) So Rarity's clothes-trunk is like Optimus Prime's trailer: Goes back to a pocket dimension till needed

Noir! I love it! This episode was terrific. Lots of different Wonderbolts, and a fun little mystery involving Rarity and Dash. I loved the frequent costume changes, and the accidental out-loud narration. I also like that it continued right off from where we had last left them. This one gets an easy "A".

I loved the scene where Dash accidentally spills Rarity's coffee on her, and offers to clean it; she prepares by hocking a loogie.

I can't wait for the Coco episode next week.

I have only one thing to say about this episode:

:ouch:

Seriously, the noir stuff was fun and the bits where Rarity would accidentally narrate out loud got a laugh from me. It was pretty paint-by-numbers otherwise.

^

Yeah, I loved the Dashie and Rarity moments. The two of them have grown much closer than when we first saw them. I hope that continues. Plus, Dashie episodes are always awesome, because Dashie. :adore:

That was a nice episode. Loved the noir stuff and it actually being in black-and-white during those bits. I figured out early on who the likely culprit was but it was still entertaining. I also liked Dashie's comments on Rarity's investigation.

Shipper fuel...all of the shipper fuel.

*pours it on*

Oh yeah, it was like a Scooby Doo episode in some ways. You knew Old Man Jenkins was going to be the culprit, but the fun was getting there. :D

Just a word of caution, someone at Shout! done derped. They uploaded Episode 21 (Scare-Master, Hallowe'en episode) instead of Episode 15 which hasn't shown up yet.

And it's the full 1080 watermarkless version from Hasbro, whoever sends the episode for upload is going to get fired.

Oh wow! I hope no one gets fired for that mistake. The temptation to watch it is there, and I must resist.
