Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

fucking mini pumpkin spice flavored doughtnuts are in.

You know, I was thinking just the other day: How can we take a confectionary classic and shit all over it?

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

^ Perhaps the "classic" is a real, regular, delicious doughnut.

Then of course the answer to the question "how do we shit all over it?" would be to turn it into a dried-out, flavourless "mini" version that's already stale by the time you buy it.

... Perhaps, by having some faceless guy on the internet bitch about it?

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

In my latest snacking adventure, I tried one of these:

The sugar and carb count were about the same as the "Fall cake" I had tried last week, but this one actually had a nicer scent. You could look at the creme filling and see tiny orange specks, as if they actually put something approaching pumpkin spice something in the creme filling.

The overall taste experience wasn't too bad. There was definitely a hint of spice in it, and by hint, I mean hint. Thanks to the fact that I eat much healthier now, I can taste most subtle flavors with ease. While there's no subtlety to this flavor, it is most definitely barely there.

The texture was a bit softer than the "fall cakes," but that same taste of grease was still there. I couldn't get the greasy coating off of my tongue until I washed it for 5 minutes with warm salt water.

I still can't see how people eat this and like it.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Pumpkin good. Spice good. Pumpkin Spice FAIL.

Absolutely correct. Pumpkin is good and spices are really good, but when it comes to Pumpkin spice it’s just a waste of money. I don’t like the combination at all. Maybe there are a lot of guys out there who love the combination of Pumpkin with spices. I personally love most of the herbs and spices in the market and I used to buy it from Horton spice Mills store in Canada. There are a lot of other combination of spices that taste good and which we don’t get tired of having it. Why don't try something like that?

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Hello monroe! What spice combinations would you recommend?

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Is that a spam account that actually managed to be on topic?

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

Spambots are getting more sophisticated. That one looks like its creator actually put some thought into it. It made the text of the message look at least somewhat realistic so people would read it (looks like our friend J fell for it, for example); most spambots are pretty obvious, like an entire post of gibberish but with the link to whatever they're selling.

Although if you look closely at that spambot, it's not actually saying anything. It just took whatever I said (that pumpkin is good, spice is good, just not together) and paraphrased it a few times...

We're running a check on it. Normally we'd just nuke the account from orbit if it's a spambot, but since this one did manage to be on-topic, we'll have the Administrati double-check first. Wouldn't want to get rid of someone who was making a genuine recommendation, just in case.

Re: Pumpkin Spice Products Must be Stopped

It's friggin' everywhere -- everytime I turn to another isle, more fucking pumpkin spice. I can't recall a year (when this started) that there were so many differnet products with it.

Today I found pumpkin spice flavored Tastycakes. And Hostess cupcakes flavored with it, too.

It's in the bread, it's in cans, hell, I expect it to start showing up in ice cream any day now.

Never in my life have I talked to a person and they said, "You know what I'd like? Pumpkin spice."

Truly, the world is full of monsters forcing you to look at things you don't have to buy.

The tragedy of it all must be scarring you for life.

Even in a world where "first world problems" is a meme, this is pretty silly.

Is that a real thing? It sounds like a fake product you'd see in Fallout or something.

It's friggin' everywhere -- everytime I turn to another isle, more fucking pumpkin spice.

You've actually been traveling to small islands in order to escape seasonally flavored products? Dude, you are hardcore. Fuck.

:guffaw:
