My favorite brand of eggnog these last few years has been Southern Comfort. The same people that make the whiskey. It's standard non-alcoholic eggnog, but damn good. They also make a vanilla flavored variety. I guess they wanted some premium stuff for mixing with the whiskey.

There's a chain of artisan bakeries across the US called Great Harvest Bread Company. The ones in my area make jalapeno cornbread on certain days of the week. It's really good... more hearty than the usual sweeter cornbread.

I like eggnog made by some local dairy whose name I can't recall at the moment.
Many of the store brands are too thick for me; you have to mix with milk to make them palatable.

I saw Pumpkin Spice, LE, Oreos yesterday.

This madness has gone too far and it has to be stopped.

(The reason I said such a stupid sentence is that I haven't had any bacon since 10 this morning and I'm in withdrawal. I'm bakin' from lack of bacon.)

All this over Pumpkin Spice..when Syria is imploding and exploding at the same time, the North Koreans have massed their armies on the DMZ...China rattling sabers, economies around the world are trying to tank, Russia thinking about who to invade next and here we are worrying about Pumpkin Spice, Coffee, and the latest you tube video to hit it big...


I fear for the future... ELIMINATE the Pumpkin Spice!, put it's supporters into FEMA camps, legalize weed,and force them to smoke it... then provide munchies..

From what I've read, the "pumpkin spice" flavor craze started in 2003 when Starbucks introduced the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Food manufacturers followed suit and started inundating us with these products every year around autumn/harvest/thanksgiving/etc season.
