Alright folks, I apologize for the delay. I was on vacation in Florida over the weekend, and couldn't have given a damn about startin' a new contest. I'm back now, though, so here goes!

Ran with this them awhile back in the TV forum, gonna give it a shot here. Your entry for this contest has to be from the last scifi or fantasy movie ya went to see in a theater, either a new release or a retro event screenin'. Goin' by the honor system for entries - don't put up an Age of Ultron or Jurassic World entry just 'cause ya thing it will get the most votes.

As I learned in the TV forum, some folks have gone to see the same movie. That's fine, there can be more than one entry per title. If ya don't want to share, ya can go to the next to last scifi or fantasy movie, but that's as far back as ya can reach.

Home theater DVD/blu ray don't count. Neither does video streamin' off of Netflix or Hulu. If ya didn't buy a ticket from a teenager behind the counter, eat stale popcorn or have to put up with someone textin' or talkin' during the trailers, it doesn't count.

All entries must conform to board rules - up to 150x150 in size, up to 140kb if animated.

Entries are accepted from now 'til Saturday afternoon since I have to work this weekend.

Good luck! And thanks for all the votes for Warrior Worf entry last week!

The last few movies I've seen in the theater have been action or drama, so I guess this is last fantasy/science fiction movie I saw:

Inside Out

If The Man From U.N.C.L.E. doesn't count as SF/F (really just trying my luck here),

then I guess Ultron will have to do.

Well, Kuryakin uses a laser to cut through a wire mesh fence. In the 60s. And there's the easy-to-build nuclear weapons formula. But that's about it, to be honest. Like I said, I'm just trying my luck with this one.

I think Man From Uncle was straight action. You could argue, perhaps, that the latest Mission Impossible had silly tech bordering on the sci-fi line.

Sorry, but that doesn't seem too far removed from a James Bond movie, and unless its Moonraker, those aren't scifi, either.

Ya will have to come up with another entry.

Much as I wasn't impressed with the movie, this makes a fine av:

I don't remember the raptors ridin' motorcycles, too...

You think?!

Well, fingers crossed.

Well, I gave my alternative entry with the last movie I went to see which was definitely SF/F in my original post, so here's a quick reminder:

I'm pretty sure that was the last science fiction or fantasy film I saw in the theater. I've only seen three or four movies of any kind since then, in the theater.

It is sad but true...

I need to get out more. :(
I got you beat, my last one was Star Trek Into Darkness, and I think before that it was Star Trek '09

I very rarely go to the theater, and watch everything on DVD at home.

Thanks for the reminder, I guess I missed it this mornin'. Sorry about that.

And on that note...

Yeah, this is the same movie I entered for the TV&M version back in February. There are only so many dollars available for luxuries like entertainment, and spending them on seeing movies in the theatre is just not a priority. Sorry. (If I really want to see the movie, if I wait for the right sale, I can usually get the blu-ray for less than the cost of ONE ticket!)

At least I used a different image this time around...
