Spin-offs you'd love to have seen

Pike's Enterprise and the adventures of the NX-02 were stories I always wanted to see.

This one. ;)

I hoped we'd get a tv series set in the era of the TOS movies. Captain Sulu was talked about a lot but it never happened. I'd have preferred that to Enterprise which never seemed like a prequel to me.

A spin off I'd like to see today is one which features the crews of TNG, DS9 and VOY as an emsemble cast with stories spread throughout the Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta Quadrants. With the use of transwarp drive it would make it easy for characters to come and go as the story permits. DS9 could be the port of call for the Enterprise-E, Voyager and the Defiant-A to return to.

Maybe not so much of a spin off, as a better send off for the TNG/VOY/DS9/ENT era Star Trek than we got from TATV, be it a miniseries or a full season. I would have liked to seen a story that incorporated a mixed cast from all those shows, that featured both Post-Nemesis and post TATV time periods. Since the identity of Future guy was never revealed, it si conceivable he could have come from the 24th century, which could have set the stage for the 22nd and 24th century cross over.

I think it would be interesting to see a Stargazer series, with young Picard eventually rising to the captaincy, but would be cool to see Picard as more of a minor player (with obvious potential).

Another spin off I would have liked seeing is the Earth Romulan War. I would have preferred the NX01 and crew in it, but if it were done well.

Worf, retired from Starfleet and working as a police detective in Minsk. It could explore the reality of Earth's supposed utopian society. If Michael Dorn isn't interested, then Alexander with Dorn making the occasional cameo.

The adventures of Captain Okona might of been fun, surprised they never used him on DS9.

He teams up with with Vash, or maybe a few ex Starfleet types.

Or a Star Fleet Medical show out on the boarders of the badlands

Okona v Solo
Dawn of a Crossover

Ever since reading Marvel Comics' title Star Trek: Early Voyages I've wanted to see a Pike era animated series that follows adventures post "The Cage." Better animation than we got with TAS--closer in style to Johnny Quest than TAS.

I've long been disappointed that TMP wasn't followed up. I would have liked to see stories of the second 5-year mission aboard the refit E (with slightly better uniforms).

Picard's commanding the Stargazer might be interesting.

I'd loved to have seen the continuing adventures of the refitted Enterprise if V'Ger hadn't come along, with Willard Decker in command, though maybe replacing Sonak with Xon (from Phase II) and having Sulu serve as XO instead.

Inspector Tuvok.

A standard detective series that just happens to use the Star Trek universe as a backdrop.

Voyager did a few Tuvok investigates type episodes and though the mystery element was virtually non-existent, I still like the idea of it. In fact, they could do it with any character (Vulcan probable would work best).

Cool. Tim Russ would have been great as the anchor to a series. He was a great Vulcan. Maybe his "sidekick" could be 7 of 9? They go into business together? Holmes and....Holmes?

There are a lot of stories and characters in TNG and DS9 (and even some Voy and a bit of TOS) that I would have liked to see more of, but I'm not sure if they could carry an entire spinnoff series.
Which Is why I think a sort of anthology series would be nice that revisits some old plot lines and characters and introduces some new ones.
If course this would be horrendously expensive.

The idea I had would be to re-write the end of TSFS. With a series that went off on a tangent focusing on David Marcus, Saavik (played by Kirsty Alley again) and the teenaged Spock (with his adult mind returned to him), onboard a small scout/science ship.

I'd watch the hell out of this one:luvlove: Just not sure about including the teenage body/adult mind Spock. Why not somehow keep both around? Adult Spock stays in the movies, teenage Spock is with David and Saavik. This would allow an exploration of nature vs. nurture.

How about demoted Robert Wesley takes over starbase 12 along the neutral zone with a mix of Star Fleet and civilians

Sounds (and looks) a bit like DS9 set during the TOS era.

The Clean-Up Squad...

A Starfleet ship that follows Kirk's Enterprise dealing with the aftermath of his missions, getting societies back on track after their computer Gods have been killed, paying some hush money to offended fathers of green alien chicks, finding the communicator that McCoy left behind on Sigma Iotia, providing medical aid to Gideon after the epidemic takes hold... Dealing with the consequences that we never got to see.

Clearly, The Clean-Up Squad dropped the ball when it came to Ceti Alpha V . ....

Well if they were 6 months behind Kirk...

I don't know. If Vanguard is any indication, it seems like sweeping Ceti Alpha V under the rug was exactly what Starfleet was trying to accomplish. Whether that was because of Khan or Project Vanguard or both isn't clear, but Starfleet was definitely trying rush their clean-up job of the situation.

They'd be dealing with the Archon mess at that point, rebuilding an entire planetary society after Kirk had blown up their computer God, and dealing out happy pills to fill the absence left by the lack of Red Hour hedonism. It would take way more than six months to fix that Kirked world!
