The NCIS Cast on a Starfleet Vessel

I'll apologize if this belongs in the fanfiction as opposed to General Trek forum but I recently had a thought. While working on one of many fanfiction projects I write for, I came up with a Protection Detail agent that more or less is a Star Trek version of NCIS' Kate Todd.

That created a mental picture of the rest of the NCIS cast from various seasons and what their positions would be in the Trek universe as the crew of a Starfleet vessel (perhaps an Intrepid class.

I figured I'd share what I came up with so far:

• Captain Leroy Jethro Gibbs - Captain
• Commander Anthony DiNozzo - First Officer
• Lieutenant Ziva David - Security Chief
• Lieutenant Timothy McGee - Chief Engineer
• Lieutenant Junior Grade Abigail Sciutto - Science Officer
• Dr. Quentin Mallard - CMO

I think Abby as a Lieutenant is an idea too, but if she's a Lieutenant Commander she could hae some rank on McGee as well. It could add some interesting dynamics if they become romantically involved.

On that same note, the same thing could be true of DiNozzo and Ziva on this ship.

For some reason I imagine the NCIS crew onboard either an Intrepid or Defiant class vessel.

Ducky's first name is Donald, not Quentin. Was this intentional?

Unintentional as a buddy of mine who writes fanfiction had a semi-original character based on Ducky with that first name and I had my wires crossed while beta reading his fic.
