^It's certainly possible, and makes me wonder what might have happened had the police not intervened when McDonald violated the restraining order.

One of the other interesting things are all these L.A. rumors. There's a plan, and someone on the west coast might know more, but there's a plan for the Chargers and Raiders to share a stadium now, evidently. I think there's a really good shot that the Rams relocate back there regardless of what the Raiders/Chargers do.
The LA Times ran a story last week in which the writer stated that is it HIGHLY unlikely that 3 teams will move to LA. The Raiders have the most tenuous financial situation so they are very likely to move. The Chargers, not so much. There's more money in San Diego so their chances of moving aren't as high.

It is difficult to see the Rams owner building a stadium in LA and the team he owns, who is from LA, NOT playing there.

Both stadium projects are completely separate and both are moving rather quickly. In other words, "something's gotta give".

I hope the Rams come back.

I'm already plotting my USC on Saturday/Rams on Sunday road trip....

Bears rookie wide receiver Kevin White, their first-round pick this year, has a stress fracture on his shin and will miss at least the first six weeks of the season, and the team is considering shutting him down for the year.

Boy, I'm glad they traded Marshall for nothing.

Marshall was heading towards that place he goes where he wouldn't have been much help anyway.

This thread has disappeared off the radar. I couldn't post this when I found it.

You're not wrong, but I'm just so incredibly done with the McCaskeys. The Bears have literally wasted the best years of Cutler's career, each of which has had some permutation of terrible weapons, a terrible offensive line, a terrible defense and terrible coaching, and he's still managed to put up some really good numbers, and for that he's been rewarded by the team leaking that he was available for a fourth-round pick before the draft this year.

I don't disagree about the McCaskey's. Old school thinking isn't working there. They should have honored (in theory) what George wanted and when Mugs died, should have sold.

Would the Ricketts' be allowed to own the Bears?

Didn't ya' hear? Everything is Jay Cutler's fault. As I remember us talking about last November, it amazed me how ESPN talked about Cutler as though he was the worst QB in the NFL, and people believed it. Nevermind that Cutler had a good season statistically despite having no offensive line or consistent production from either his running game or his receivers.

Rough preseason games, several players, along with a couple high draft picks, out with injuries already. Plus Steelers' kicker, shitty way to start a season.

Substitute Romo for Cutler and it is almost the exact same story. Except now the o-line is solid and he has legit weapons while coming off of a career year. Now he's great and worth the money. I hate my fellow fanbase as much as the Redskins sometimes.

Once Virginia dies I've heard the estate tax laws (or whatever) will be such that the family will probably end up selling the team. Same with the Sox and Reinsdorf I think.

Quite possibly the best commercial ever for a video game:

Hoo-ah.

Yeah, in spite words of praise, that can't look good if they cut you without finding a third QB as a replacement. I figured he'd at least stay on in that role for the time being.
