I wonder. The Emerald Dream is suppose to be a version of Azeroth as it was. That could be a way to go back to what things use to look like.
But then some of what it use to look like would look bad if you tried to fly over it (tricks and cuts for were they knew you could not see).
Some would like for some of the things that were destroyed to look like they had before, just with the new textures and features.
No one really wants to go back to Vanilla. No one has the time to invest in that anymore. Not the endless slogging content just to get into the only raid and then slog through that endlessly to get enough gear kill the end boss. Not anymore. Things have changes too much in the last ten years to make that viable anymore.
There is quite simply, way too much more content to be had to waste on such slogging activities. Gold grinding....and other drawn out time sinks. Now we have some of those for things like rep grind, grind to get flying in Draenor, and the Legendary questlines. But even those don't take more than an hour or two a night, and some can be done in a day per week, then do other stuff the rest of the week.

Yep grind is there if you like grind, and I have enjoyed rep grinding myself. But it's possible to play with very little of that. If you aren't fixated on endgame you can play however you like. I was at my peak in WotlK as far as endgame and pvp went and can't be assed now and I'm very much enjoying that.

Tanaan Jungle is an ugly piece of shit so I sure hope we get something more interesting.

I'm not much for jungle zones. I like the more northern lattitudes like Winterspring and Northrend. Arathi Highlands and Hinterlands are nice too. Shimmering Flats was great before they flooded it. Used to love questing there late at night under the full moon.

My favorite regions are snow (Dun Morogh and Winterspring) and desert (Tanaris, I love you). I pretty much hate jungle other than STV because that really felt like the tropics and had nice beaches bordering it.

My 3 favorite zones; Eversong Woods(I know it is a starter area but I love the enviroment), Zangarmarsh, Howling Fjord.

Wow that was a lovely video SPCTRE! Even though I'm pure Horde I have created so many dwarf chicks because I just love that starting zone, in fact my recent 7 free days that's all I did, make a new dwarf. Even though I have a bunch of work to do in Tanaan Jungle I think I'll go hang out on her.. she's also on my original cesspit of a server which I'm weirdly nostalgic for.
I remember on my first ever character, a gnome who sits at lvl 70 never to be deleted, running up the hill to Ironforge for the very first time. WOW what a city, it blew me away! And even though your brand new dwarf/gnome is now given a gryphon flight as part of the "go to Ironforge" quest I never take it, I run up it all over again. Ironforge is still my favorite city.
God I'm so nostalgic.
Apparently US and EU can play on each other's servers but you have to purchase the game afresh, the US or EU version. And you can't transfer anything between US and EU accounts.

I didn't think about this before but is this going to be the thing now? Every new expansion you get a boost? I guess I don't feel bad being stuck at 92 until I can get another month of play time.
