While he's polite enough to not give any particularly juicy details, particularly since the execs in question aren't there to defend themselves, he does at least confirm some of what we've always suspected, that there were some top people that he didn't get along with for some reason.
Although, I would disagree that he "overpitched the comedy." I liked the fact that his character had those 2 extremes. Yes, he was scarred & depressed after the Time War and had a moody expression and the leather jacket and gave off a general stay-away vibe. But sometimes we would see that manic grin of his and he would play something just a little bit goofy or just a little bit off kilter. And it was those moments that would remind me of Tom Baker or Patrick Troughton or Sylvester McCoy and would reassure me that this was in fact the same show as it always was and not some "dark, gritty" reboot.
