Cats and the internet go together like... well, cats and sleeping. So for this next internet-based avatar contest, our theme is Fantastic Felids!

Feel free to post your most adorable cat and kitten pictures here, in avatar form. (Note: contest runner is not responsible if forum breaks due to excessive cuteness!)

But wait, there's more! Don't like cute cat photos? No problem! You can enter an avatar featuring any member of the Felidae family, including, but not limited to, lions, tigers and bobcats... oh my!

So the rules are simple:
- you can enter your own photo, or something you found online
- no media sources, please
- maximum size is 150 x 150, and less than 140 KB if animated

Contest will be open for about a week, with the voting thread planned to go up next Wednesday, August 12.

I do wonder why there aren't more entries, yet. Seriously, if you ain't got your own pics, the internet's full of 'em. I suspect the only topic with more images on the internet is porn. And thanks to Hentai, there's even porn with Cat-people (not to mention furry porn).

I adopted my Chloe in 2005. She was approximately a year old at the time. She's snoozing on the bed as I type.

How old is your mother's Chloe?

Just about two years, I think. We got her to keep her company after my Father died. They bonded quickly.
