USGS warning massive quake off SanFran imminent!

Probably. The thing is it's not the quake...it's the waiting.

If it helps I'll arrange to travel to the west coast on vacation so that by Murphy's Law the quake will hit and we can all stop worrying. Much easier to clean up corpses than WORRY about cleaning up corpses.

Which is why a Zombie Apocalypse is the best disaster. The corpses move on their own

If there is something major on the horizon, lets hope the citizens of the area are prepared and there is no major loss of life.

The only way to do that is for every last person to move somewhere else......but where?

That caldera pops and we're all proper-fucked.

Yet another one that could happen tomorrow, or 1,000 years from now. They know about how often the previous 3 or 4 eruptions occurred.

Even if they could measure the exact year it would blow, like hell they'd warn us. They won't tolerate a panicked society quitting jobs early and hoarding.

The government probably already has a plan in place for if it blows.

Unfortunately, pragmatically, there is no way to evacuate everyone away from the affected radius.

I live in Florida, which is probably the furthest state away from Yellowstone besides Alaska and Hawaii.

Probably wouldn't matter though, since the ash injected into the sky will probably kill all the crops. Too bad my family isn't prepared, and certainly doesn't have the money to do so now.

...hang on, this can't be right .San Francisco is already gone.

It was destroyed in the Mayan prophecy 3 years ago. Pretty sure that it was wrecked by Y2k before that...and the Nostradamus asteroid in 1999. Of course really that was secondary to the world ending in 1982 as Pat Robinson predicted. Although that dud really just copied off Hilary of Poitiers 365BCE end of the world timing which was as we all know spot-on.

I'm much more partial to geological evidence when preparing my 'The end is nigh" cardboard sign, but we need to take ALL prophecies into account here. Clearly the city was already wiped out.
