Maybe Abrams has betrayed the fans. we're seeing a lot of prequel stuff in the so-called 'canon' Marvel comics (Coruscant, Bail Organa, really?) and Andy Serkis will potray the Weta effect as Supreme Chancellor "Snoke". (Snake and smoke....really? IS this some Weaboo Metal Gear solid BS?) and the beautiful Lupita Nyong'o (Lupita NO!) is now the new Jar-jar binks as some CG pirate Captain.
The influence of George Lucas on this man is apprentent.
Did anybody watch the "Droid Tales" cartoon? It was cute. I was surprised they covered two movies in one half hour! It was also interesting to see how they openly ragged on Phantom Menace and Jar-Jar. Kids love that movieOh, and the "mysterious stranger" was clearly visible as Lando

Going crazy with special effects and CGI happens too often when a director is given too much creative freedom. Ex. Peter Jackson and George Lucas. Should be called the Lucas Effect.
