That was funny, except what did Batman say at the end?
"It's because I'm..."
They cut him off before he could shout "BATMAAAN!"
Like how they cut Cap off at the end of AoU before he could finish saying "Avengers assemble!" Clever.

Looks like Supes was doing his patented "fly really fast around the world and turn back time" move at the end there.
I thought Batman's delivery sounded really off even knowing what he was supposed to be saying...then I realized, I think he's supposed to be saying it backwards, because Superman's turning back time.

The films tally now stands at $438m US domestic & $1.3B WW.
AoU should hit $450m US dom in the next two weeks with the July 4th weekend as it's last hurrah. Not sure if $460m is doable but it's still a solid total.

My optimistic thought was that this film would still do $500m being realistic that a drop was likely. Reading some film sites it's % of a drop isn't unusual but it just looks larger cause of the 6vs4 leading number if I followed the commentary right.

I finally got to see this on Sunday, A!

I can't think of any complaints, the more I think about it, the more I like it.

I'd love to go see it again but I'll have to wait for the DVD.

Did anyone else think of Superman Returns and Kevin Spacey's Kryptonite island when Ultron raised Sikovia? All I could think of was "of all the comic book movies to rip off, THAT's the one you went for, Joss?"

Nope, if anything it reminded me of the Sonic comics where Eggman went full pyscho and instead of trying to take Angel Island again, tried to destroy it's anti-gravity core and sent it plummeting to Earth taking out th South Island group and create a tsunami that would devastate the human cities as well.

Floating islands tend to invite that "drop the fucking lot on everyone" mentality in villains.

Not sure it this has been brought up yet, but did anyone else notice that the vibranium core Ultron built actually survived the explosion? I'm pretty sure you see it hurtling towards the ground after the explosion and seemingly intact.

I wonder if that will figure into things to come? Maybe play a part in Civil War? Perhaps Stark salvaged it and started re-purposing the metal and that's why Black Panther gets involved?

Heck, I'm still trying to figure out where that body of water that the pieces of the island crashed down into came from. It's not like the island moved laterally, and they never showed any water moving in to fill the gouge left behind by the city's removal. :p

The MCU wiki entry on Sokovia says it's located between Austria and the Czech Republic.

If that's true, then it's a land-locked country and the nearest body of water would be the Adriatic Sea.

Still, they'd have had to fly across the entirety of Austria, and Slovenia, and a small part of Croatia to get there.

I'm afraid so, yes.

And if we're name-dropping villainous schemes that involved flying islands, I'll throw in Byrne's Galactus story in FF that had Terrax lifting Manhattan into space.

Yup, there's a massive Vibranium spire just lying around, unless the carrier hauled it off.

I saw the movie twice I ddin't see any of the cores surviving. For that matter I didn't see any debris landing on the ground, which is odd since despite the destruction of the village the mass that was lifted still remained. The vibranium was used to create the Vision's body though.

There was this large pillar like structure that we saw falling during the explosion that I also thought was the core.
