E3 2015

(E3 2014 callback)

Bethesda won already with Fallout 4. This looks awesome...

Oh yeah, Doom looks pretty sick too.

Nintendo kicked things off yesterday with some new Smash Bros characters as DLC: Lucas from Mother 3 (previously announced, was also in Brawl), Roy from Fire Emblem (was last in Melee), and Ryu from Street Fighter. Those all became available immediately.

Then they had the Nintendo World Championships in the afternoon, and that was pretty entertaining.

They also revealed (and immediately released on the Wii U virtual console) Earthbound Beginnings (Mother 1) which was never released in North America until yesterday.

I'll be following E3 Coverage (when I can) on PS4 Live Video.

And SPCTRE, that gif animation a few posts above was a gut-buster!:guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

Backward compatibility coming to Xbox One this holiday season! :techman:

Only 100 compatible games at first, more coming in the future.

This goes for both digitally owned games and disc owned gamed. Download is required, even for disc owned games. For games you have on disc you obviously have to have the disc inserted each time you want to play the game.

You can still use XB1 features on them such as screenshot, game streaming, etc.

You can purchase 360 games from the store, or download free ones you own on disc.

Hmmm.... now that's cool. Did I understand you correctly? If you already have the game on disc, you can download it for use on Xbox One for free?

That may slightly change my mind about getting an Xbox One, where before I was vehemently opposed to the idea.

Right now, PS Now is a system on PS4 where you can rent streaming PS3 titles. They're at about 300+ titles as of this post. I haven't used it yet, but I do have to say, the Xbox One plan does sound intriguing. :)

Correct! That also goes for games you downloaded from the Xbox store. Only the compatible ones, of course.

It's still Doom 4 :P Can't wait to play it. I've yet to play the 3D Fallout games, despite the fact I own both, so I'll play them before I get excited over Fallout 4. My brother hates 3 but loves New Vegas and isn't excited for 4 since it's Bethesda making it again.

EA conference has started.

Started with a little teaser video of the next Mass Effect game called "Mass Effect Andromeda". Said to be holiday 2016.

Congrats Sony, that was a hell of a press conference. I might be picking up a PS4 in the next year or two. Hard to say when though, there wasn't a lot of dates mentioned.

So this happenend:
