What games are you looking forward to? (2015 edition)

SPCTRE

Badass

With E3 coming up in less than two weeks, what games are you anticipating this year? Doesn't have to be released in 2015 necessarily, just generally what you're waiting for right now.

(Feel free of course to also talk about announcements you'd like to see and/or make predictions for E3, Gamescom, TGS, etc)

Batman Arkham Knight
Fallout 4 (assuming it makes a 2015 date)
Uncharted 4
Call of Duty Black Ops III

All four of those make my list too, along with...

Halo 5: Guardians
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
Star Wars: Battlefront
Until Dawn

And these if they make a 2015 release...

No Man's Sky
H1Z1 (PS4)

I was also looking forward to Silent Hills, so thanks and fuck you Konami. :techman:

The only ones I'm waiting for now are Xenoblade Chronicles X and the Legend of Zelda on Wii U. XCX should be out later this year (already out in Japan), but Zelda was already announced to be delayed a bit and won't even be at E3.

The only other game I was looking forward too going into this year was Splatoon, but that came out last week and I've been playing that every day since. So I'm all good on that front.

It won't be coming up this year (or next AFAIK) but I'm hoping to see something new on 'Mass Effect not 4'.

X-Com 2 & Fallout 4 look interesting and I'd like to see something of the new Homeworld: Shipbreakers game.

Oh and I'm always hopeful for good news about Beyond Good and Evil 2 when I'm not waiting for a Half-Life 3 announcement. ;)

I'm sure I'll be adding quite a few games to my list in two weeks, but here's my pre-E3 list.

Binding of Isaac Rebirth (Wii U release)
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls
Great Ace Attorney (new Phoenix Wright game)
Mighty No. 9
Mutant Mudds Super Challenge
Rodea: The Sky Soldier
Star Fox U
SteamWorld Heist
Treasurenauts
Yoshi's Woolly World

I've had my reasons for not getting an Xbox One, but, as long as Microsoft doesn't try to go back to the original plans it had for Xbox One (constant online required, no sharing of games, no resale of used games, etc.) I might be tempted enough to get an Xbox One for Halo 5, Halo Master Chief Collection, and the remaster of State of Decay.

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain
As someone who absolutely loved MGS4:GotP (I thought it and The Last of Us were perfect video games), I gave MGSV: Ground Zeroes a try. For it basically being a primer for what we can expect out of The Phantom Pain, I was entrhalled. So, bring on TPP!

Star Wars: Battlefront
I love the footage I've seen, but the jury's still out on it because it (so far) does not support single player experience. But, then again, neither really does Destiny, and I still play it, despite its many irksome traits... so who knows.

Until Dawn
If this is that survival horror game that has Hayden Pantierre in it, yeah, I think I'm stoked for this one too.

No Man's Sky
Absolutely in tune with this one.

Sounds like a beefed up, MMO version of State of Decay.... I'm game for the same reasons I still play Destiny.

I have to say, I only really want to revisit Silent Hill if they will involve Heather Mason as a playable character again. There is a PS Vita Silent Hill game that you can have Heather as a playable chraacter (after you download its 300+ MB patch), but it's more of a hack/slasher as opposed to a full on survival horror experience.

I like your taste in games!

Arkham Knight is the only game I'm looking forward to this year. I was really wanting to play the new Uncharted game, but it got pushed back to 2016.

XCom 2 is probably the one I'm looking forward to the most at the moment. If they announce a new (single player) Elder Scrolls, that might take the top spot. Not gonna happen, I know, but would be nice.

Despite the disappointments in the last installment, I still have a soft spot for the Mass Effect universe. If they revealed more about the next one, I'd probably be excited in spite of myself.

No Man's Sky sounds interesting, but I don't have a PS4 and I think my computer would explode if I even thought about it.

Metal Gear Solid V
In a year unlikely to see Mass Effect 4 or Final Fantasy XV released, this is hands down the Big Deal for me.

Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster
#believe #pleasegod

Fallout 4
Maybe. Probably. I'm bad at liking open world games, though. We'll see.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
I'll double-dip for Nate. I'd triple-dip for Chloe... Wait, what?

Star Wars Battlefront
Although I'm far more excited about Amy Hennig's upcoming Star Wars project.

Xenoblade Chronicles X
Xenogears is my favorite video game, but truth be told, I haven't felt the love on what I've seen of XCX thus far. I'll get it, though.

As for predictions... eh, they stopped being as fun once I became a member of NeoGAF. Now I can just sit back and watch the true prophets tell me the future.

Two big ones right off the top of my head:

Batman: Arkham Origins

Mad Max

and possibly, if it isn't a total fuckup, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate. But, not on day one for me. I'm going to wait and listen to word of mouth beforehand.

I suppose I should also add Fire Emblem If (as it is called in Japan) to my list, but that is a 2016 North America so it will be a while.

However, some of the games I got from this Nintendo E3 "Leak" site might be interesting:
http://www.tane.us/nintendo/

Yarn Mario 3D (3DS)
Yarn Splatoon Life (3DS)
The Legend of Zelda: The Important License (3DS)
The Legend of Zelda: Curler of Substance (Wii U)
Mario Quad Biking Life (Wii U)
The Legend of Zelda: Strange Oxygen (NX)
The Legend of Zelda: Experienced Pen (NX)

Clearly a joke site, it generates a random list every time you refresh the page.

Great Ace Attorney (new Phoenix Wright game)

Is that one coming out in North America? I got in the Phoenix Wright games recently, so that would be my radar eventually.

Capcom hasn't announced a North American release, but I'd be surprised it didn't come out eventually. At the very least a digital only release like Dual Destinies.

Fallout 4
King's Quest: Your Legacy Awaits
SpaceVenture (from the guys that made the Space Quest games) (probably won't get this until 2016, though)
Star Citizen (ditto on 2016)
Zork: Quendor Online (when hell freezes over ;) )

Arkham Knight
XCom 2
Fallout 4

Hm.. not a single original game but honestly, an improved game of a beloved franchise is ten times better than new crap where you fell for the advertising.

Be interesting to see how the new Doom turns out.
I still revisit Doom 3 BFG Edition on my PS3 from time to time.

This is more of a wishlist...

• The new Zelda instalment.
• 3D Mario platformer
• A new side-scroller Metroid, say, for the 3DS (but I'll settle for a game picking up where Retro Studios left off)
• Uncharted 4
• New Red Dead game!!
