Warner Bros. Circling David Ayer for DC Comics’ ‘Suicide Squad’

Lame. Where's his metal teeth?;)

Batman hasn't knocked them out yet.

Eh I'm not thrilled about the unrestrained "insane" look of Leto, with all the tats. The "damaged" tat is a bit much, but i'm willing to give it a shot. A new Joker isn't a bad thing.

The tattoos are not in the movie. that was just for that one photo.

Clearly in retrospect that was a poor choice for them to do, unless they were just drumming up negative publicity for awareness.

I'll repost my guesswork from the Superman vs Batman thread from a few days ago which does have a heavy semi-confirmed spoiler:

SvB establishes that Dick Grayson is dead - killed by the Joker.

SS shows Joker in prison for the killing, recruited by the squad. He is one of the survivors at end - Batman Cameo establishes that Batman knows he's out and sets up...

Batman solo film - Batman vs Joker.

It sounds like there's a pretty good chance the Joker might be in prison at one point in the movie, so I guess I could maybe see the tattoos being prison tats. I'm still not real fond of them, but that could be a good reason for them to be there.

I've read on a few sites today that they were for the publicity shot only but I've no way of knowing how reliable those claims are.

Yeah, I've read the same thing.

Lol at WB for rustling fan's jimmies. They got everyone talking about Joker and Suicide Squad.

huh, interesting. Reminds me of Rick Genest on the end. I haven't read Suicide Squad, can anyone identify everyone picture.

So much for the tattoos not being in the final film. If Harley's wearing them, so's Mr. J.

And how sad is it that she seems to be the only one in the entire DC Cinematic Universe (or Comic Universe for that matter) having any fun?

I haven't read Suicide Squad, can anyone identify everyone picture.

From left to right:

1: Adam Beach as Christopher 'Slipknot' Weiss. Assassin, master of ropes (both tying, untying and strangling).
2: Jai Courney as 'Captain Boomerang' George Harkness. Flash villain. Is to boomerangs what Hawkeye and Arrow are to bows.
3: Cara Delevigne as 'The Enchantress' June Moone. Basically DC's Scarlet Witch.
4: Karen Fukuhara as Tatsu 'Katana' Yamashiro. Samurai and martial artist whose sword captures the soul of everyone she kills for her to talk to later.
5: Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg. Your ultimate elite military man. Leader of the group.
6: Margot Robbie as Dr. Harleen 'Harley Quinn' Quinzel. Batman villain. Psychiatrist turned into the Joker's psychotic lover/henchwoman.
7: 'Big' Will Smith as Floyd 'Deadshot' Lawton. Assassin for hire. As the name implies, he never misses. (Esp. thanks to a cybernetic eye.)
8: Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje as Waylon 'Killer Croc' Jones. Batman villain. Pro wrestler slowly mutating into a giant crocodile.
9: Jay Hernandez as Chato 'El Diablo' Santana. Olympic level boxer and all-around athlete. Carries a demon who manifests whenever he's knocked out.

From left to right, I think they are:

- Slipknot
- Captain Boomerang
- The Enchantress
- Katana (bottom row)
- Rick Flagg
- Harley Quinn
- Deadshot
- Killer Croc
- Diablo

Thanks for the IDs, I only knew Katana from Beware the Batman so I wasn't sure. My DC familiarity is quite small compared to Marvel at least as comics are concerned but it helps me not sweat the small stuff so much in the adaptations.

I like what I'm seeing there. I was a little nervous about Harley after Joker, but that's actually a pretty good look for her. Even thought they did change a lot of the character's looks quite a bit from the comics, there are still enough familiar elements to make them recognizable.
I wonder if we will see Deadshot with any kind of mask or eyepiece like he uses in most other versions?
