And the Next Cancelled Show is...

Too bad. I thought it improved quite a bit after the first few episodes. Netflix should pick it up.

It seems the Constantine cancellation is not as cut and dried as it seemed:

showrunner Daniel Cerone said:
I just received confirmation from the corporate offices at NBC. I was assured that Constantine has not been canceled and our pitch meeting to discuss a potential second season remains on the books. By the way, this is a pitch meeting involving the president of Warner Bros and and the entertainment heads of NBC. Nobody at this incredibly busy time of the development season has time to waste taking pointless meetings.

Now, is it fair to say that Constantine is a long shot? Sure, that’s fair to say. While we marginally improved a tough time slot for NBC, we’re a very expensive show to produce. A lot of NBC’s decision making will not doubt hinge on their new pilots and how they feel those new shows would fare as a companion piece to Grimm, versus a second season of Constantine.

Larry Hagman wore the show like a coat.

The new blood did the sexy stuff well, but the intrigue and backhanded double dealing was a little half assed.

I got through 2 episodes of that.

Robin hood hacker who works for the police unofficially and part time to help catch cyber stalkers because her exboyfriend was an undercover cop who sent her to jail as part of a massive sting she fell for?

They made the show too bubble gum, when it was asking to be so very, very dark.

I gave up after seeing the main character use her smart phone to hack a car's auto-pilot () to prevent it from ramming into a lamppost at top speed with her trapped in the trunk of said car.

:sigh:

Of the new cast members, Josh Henderson was the standout. Both the actor and his character really came into his own after Hagman's/J.R.'s death, and while originally the story was supposed to be John Ross vs. Christopher, Jesse Metcalfe seemed to check out partway through. Which was fine with me, because John Ross vs. Bobby was shaping up to be almost as good a rivalry as J.R. vs. Bobby on the original Dallas. A shame they couldn't get this one to go just a little bit longer.

I started watching "Bad Teacher" and kinda liked it but have since discovered that it was cancelled after three episodes. I'm not sure what to pick next as it often feels like my viewership is the kiss of death

With that in mind, anyone know what's happening with "Forever". I'm also enjoying that so my instinct are telling me not to get too attached

But on the upside, "The Age of Adeline" is coming out and that's basically the same thing

"Bad Teacher" broadcast 11 episodes. I have them but only watched the first 4 or 5 so far.

As a fan of the movie I was interested in the show, but then as you said it got cancelled pretty quickly. How was it in comparison to the movie? Assuming you saw it.

It's a different animal. The TV show was reminiscent of many other non-laughter track shows. It was ok

Apparently the show was getting an average of 4 million viewers (isn't that good for a US show?)

Sirens, formerly of USA. My mom loved this show.

I noticed Denis Leary's name was absent from the "written by" credits in the just finished second season. In the first season, he and a writing partner wrote the lion's share of episodes.

Must be his focus is now on his new series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll on FX instead.
