Looks like we got our answer as to which lightsaber it is they find. I was really hoping it would be the ROTJ one, but looks like it really is supposed to be the one he lost in ESB.
And is it just me, or does seeing BB-8 actually physically roll out onto the stage like that suddenly made him seem a helluva lot cooler?

I'm still wondering how they'll explain how Luke's (and Anakin's) old lightsaber was found and retrieved after it was lost at Cloud City. I know the EU explained what happened to the weapon but that's been jettisoned like the trash and waste from a Star Destroyer before jumping to hyperspace, but it'll be interesting to learn where the old Anakin and Luke lightsaber was for well over 30 years.

Star Wars is more than a movie. For most of us, we grew up with it. It's a major part of our childhoods. Playing with action figures, making up new adventures for Luke, Han and Leia, using sticks as lightsabers in an unsupervised setting. It tapped into something special. This is the first time in years, that it seems to be coming back to what it was.I feel silly about it because it's just a movie, but I was seriously tearing up by the end of that teaser. I still can't believe this is actually happening.
Well since it has a kyber crystal in it and they've established in TCW & SWR that kyber crystals resonate in the force (and it seems, able to choose an owner somehow) it'll probably come down to one of those "will of the force" type of things. That or some force sensitive felt it's presence.
I'm guessing by the context of the VO that's it's Leia receiving it in the trailer?
I saw the OT with both of them. My dad passed away just a few months before the Episode I teaser trailer premiered, but my mom and I got to watch and enjoy the Prequels together.
