Jason Grilli looks really good. No baserunners in two innings with three strikeouts. Teheran and Shelby Miller both look great. 16 runs in 3 games. I'll take it.

Marlins plated 3 runners in three games. Braves aren't going to light up the scoreboard but it's nice to not strike out 10 times a game either. Pitching ought to keep them in a lot of games. The bullpen is still a strength and the starters are solid.

Marlins Defense has been pretty good in these three games. That catch Stanton made tonight and then the double up after was really great.

Why do so many teams have the day off today? Opening Day was just yesterday.
While the reason today is for rain outs on opening day, in days gone by some teams such as the Reds would host on opening day then board the train and go to opening day in another city, the off day for travel.

Paulo Orlando got his first base hit with the Marlins after 9 years in the minors. It was a stand up triple.

Well, my Yankees are about par for the course so far.

Still can't score runs. The second game was basically a fluke. The wind played some tricks, Yankees got hit, a ball went off the pitchers glove... no real hits in there.

Tanaka has a bad inning.
Pineda actually looked pretty strong.
CC found the middle of the plate too often, but had what, 8 strikeouts?

1 & 2, probably should be 0 & 3.

Same problem as last year. Can't score runs. ... and this is against that every-so-strong Blue Jays starting pitching...

Last night, they had runners on 2nd and 3rd with NO OUTS and couldn't get a run across. (slaps forehead) Ever hear of a bunt Girardi?

Didi isn't looking so Ozzie-like in the field. Now that I've seen him throw a bunch to 1st, I've noticed his accuracy is suspect. Thank god he came out of the gates batting .143. He's had a base running blunder or two also.

A-Rod hit a home run, so all is well... maybe they should bat him second more often (double slaps on forehead)

They have Boston next. Better figure out how to hit the corners against this line-up... it could get ugly. But chances are Buckholtz has already pitched his best game of the year so maybe we have a shot to win one. :D

It's Buchholz. If you are going to take some random potshot at the guy atleast spell his name right.

And are you talking about the same Buchholz that has shown time and again that when he is HEALTHY he is can be an absolutely dominant pitcher? Granted the health thing is a big if, but it's not like he's some scrub getting tossed up there.

I actually feel sorry for Indians fans because of what happened to the Progressive Field upper deck. Condition YUCK-O-RAMA! :barf:

Not quite as bad as the Dinger Machine, no...

Re: 2015 MLB Season - Can the Cubs FINALLY win the World Series? (No.)

Looks like what the Rockies did except they went with the cheaper guy.

Kind of looks like storage trailers.

Re: 2015 MLB Season - Can the Cubs FINALLY win the World Series? (No.)

Disparagement of the Dinger Machine is a ban-worthy offense.

Glad I got tired and bailed on the Sox/Yankees game after about 7.5 innings, it ended up going 19. Avoided getting into that loop where you feel committed, so have to finish, it almost happens, ties back up, on and on. Wouldn't have made it to the end no matter what! But at least the right team won :)
