I almost went with dikironium...but then at the last minute I went with feces.

I could have made an argument for thaleron as well, though. That stuff sucks too.

I'd go for gray matter. As in human brains. It's so slimy and so slow. And the SELF INTEREST indicator light is blinking all the time in there.

Red Matter definitely.

I have no problem with Star Trek making up its own science. But I hate it when it gets real science wrong. A black hole's gravity is no greater than the gravity of an equal amount of mass at the same distance damn it! Just you can get a whole lot closer to the center of gravity. It isn't magic supergravity like with red matter. A black hole forming at the center of vulcan with only a few kg mass should have had the gravitational pull of a few kg and people should have had ample time to evacuate.

If you want Vulcan to get sucked up make up your own fake science! Don't get black holes wrong!

I vote "Anti-Time" and if it is not a substance, metachlo-...oooops, sorry, wrong poll...um, ok, if not "Anti-Time", then I vote 8.1, "Fluidic Solids from Solidic Fluidic Space"

The minute Picard actually even proNounced the term, "Anti-Time"! Ah, sweet Jesus...
Shoulda put that one in the "Weep Openly" Thread.

Especially since the more accurate black hole in Interstellar is so much more amazing to look at.

They get a few things wrong as far as I know, but it's only a show, so its OK to me. However, I wish they'd remain consistent in some things, like the concept of warp and impulse speeds.

I'm voting Red Matter, because I'm pretty sure it's made from canned beets. I hate canned beets.

"RED MATTER IS CANNED BEETS!" - Charlton Heston

Works for me.
