Mulgrew so awful to Jeri Ryan she had to date Braga for protection

I think Mulgrew was unhappy that they axed Lien in favour of a sex-bot who was pushed quite forcefully as a character.
I was also unhappy over that.

If Jeri had been a recurring guest star and Lien had stayed I suspect they would have got on fine.
I agree on that. I guess it could have worked a lot better if Seven had joined permanently but not becoming the main character she did becom and Lien had stayed.

Get rid of ALL the men and replace them with women.

Obvs, Lien can stay in this scenario and 7 can arrive and Tal Celes can become a feature on the bridge that entrances us all.

Life would be sweet :adore:

It's because of Warehouse 13 two or 3 years ago.

Mulgrew was cast as the mother of the male lead, and Ryan was cast as the cordial exwife.

If the W13 producers kept trying to suggest a Thanksgivings episode where Ryan and Mulgrew had to pretend that they were in a loving manner toward each other again, but Ryan kept trying to think up any excuse but the truth to avoid that sentencing?

What ever happened to the series? Is it still going? I thought it was a brilliant idea to have Mulgrew as the mother and Ryan as the ex wife. I( like you) think maybe the producers that hopeful they may be a reunion and oh will it have been a reunion with, fireworks , you name it..All and all it will have been an Amazing episode or two part episode;). Im sure they where met with immense resistant from both actors so they resided on the idea.

I read Jeri was asked if she would be happy to work alongside Kate in one of the episodes and she said " yes, it will be nice to see her , it will be funny".

I agree about Tal Celes. I wanted to see more of her than just her two (that I can remember) apperances.

Movie sets are just like any workplace. Not everyone in the office is going to get along 100% of the time. It always surprises me how there are people out there who have trouble understanding the idea that two actors wouldn't get along in real-life as well as their characters do on-screen.

And it often seems as though the media (and the internet) will only accept two narratives:

1) The cast were one big happy family and best friends forever.

2) The cast hated each other and were constantly at each other's throats.

Whereas, as Lance observes, it's just another workplace. And your castmates are your co-workers, not necessarily your best friends or arch-enemies. Moreover, any employees who put in long hours together, day after day, for year after year, are going to disagree occasionally and maybe even get on each other's nerves once in awhile. It happens. Doesn't always mean there's some big drama going on.

Who among has not griped about a co-worker on occasion, if only to our friends and significant others?

"Had another run-in with Sally in Accounting today. Don't know why she always has to be so difficult when it comes to processing my expense accounts . . . . "

Tal Celest (Bajoran names are back to front) is hanging out with Jonathan Archer in New Orleans, and I doubt the connection has occurred to the actors.

Hmm , a little cruel to reveal something like that surely - even if it was the truth.. Thing is she was still with him a further few years after the show ended , so how can the reason she was with him was because of the fact she wanted to keep Mulgrew at bay? Could she have fallen for him?

..When asked about their relationship on a show once , she said that he was gay.. hmm..Kate actually new Braga before Ryan and apparantly was close friends with him, so how did that work by keeping Mulgrew at bay? .. Could it be the fact she would guarantee that he would write some alluring seductive stories lines so they didnt have much choice but to look loviningly into each others eyes and rub their sensualous bodies together and Janeway invades Seven's space on more than one occasion? Its possible and will definitely get rid of some of the tension whilst in a scene together;)

Warehouse 13 wrapped up last May, after an abbreviated Fifth Season of six final episodes.

Not a bad run, although I wouldn't have minded another season or two.

The final season was 6 episodes, but they squashed in 2hours of plot (2 stories) into each episode.

Sneaky bastards.

I didnt watch the episodes Mulgrew or Ryan was in , but it is such a shame the show rapped up. Didnt Mulgrew date the guy an all????It would have been so fantastic to have both Mulgrew and Ryan appear together on a spoiler:klingon:

Fingers crossed the creators may create another series and invite Mulgrew and Ryan back :)

On the subject of SCI FI cons. Are the stars still have contractual obligations to Paramount to do this conventions or is it by choice with it being a franchise and all?

Considering the hookup between Ryan and Braga, the line got pretty blurred between professional and personal-life. That's incredibly common in Hollywood but it should be common sense that when you shag the boss that your coworkers may start to feel like things aren't a meritocracy anymore, whether those fears are imagined or not.

But one story is that she had to hook up with him to stop Mulgrew.

It's was purely a tactical manoeuvre.

She had sex with this guy 4 or 5 times a day so that some diva would quit it with the mean girl shit.

As far as Brannon is concerned, if he's learned anything from this experience, he should always hire at least one gnashing snarling #### monster to chew through the ingenues, who seems like a big bad wolf but really she's just an unwitting sheepdog herding new girlfriends into his warm embrace.

Which if you recall is sorta how Dukat got Kira's mum and so many other women.

Was you that fly on the wall?:guffaw:. I think it is a huge shame that she had to result to such measures to stop Mulgrew. It seems she was fearful of eventually losing her job or the constant fight escalating to being physical . I cannot remember if i read roundabout the time all this was happening that Ryan threathened to have Mulgrew fired. Im sure i heard that:wtf:

At the time also Ryan said she feel in love with Braga . I do recall Robert ( Chakotay) saying in an interview back then he was surprised she went with Braga because as far as he was aware , braga was gay.

It does all make sense now that the story has been told by Ryan . So why did she remain with him a further 3 or so years after Voyager rapped up?
